Just got it and at first was impressed with weight and feel. As other reviewers indicated it feels solid. However when tried to plug it into the car's electrical port the first thing I noticed was that it sat very loose in the port. Circumference wise it was not wide enough, nor did it have the typical tension springs found on similar devices to provide a secure fit. Because of this it moves freely around in the port, and unless pushed in all the way does not seem to stay connected enough to provide a charge. This is in a Chevy Malibu, so the ports are not an unusual size or anything. Will play around with it for a few more days to see how it goes but I thinks it will wind up going back, unless there is some sort of adapter available or i'm missing something. I hope thats the case because given the features and feel I really wanted to like this.******UPDATE - 4/03/2017******So sadly I could not make this unit work for me. Tried it on multiple cars, and while it fit better on some, there was never that tight fit required to maintain a connection to the vehicle's electrical system. I even tried wrapping some electrical tape around it to make it slightly wider but this didn't help. It kept jarring loose, so the devices attached (Galaxy S5 and an iPad) kept disconnecting. I say sadly because at one point I was able to keep it connected for a while by applying some tension to the attached cables, and while connected it did charge the devices quickly, and maintained the charge on the S5 while it used GPS for Google Maps and acted as a hotspot for the iPad.Not an ideal setup, but does speak well to the products charging ability. In addition, speaking to how solid it is, when using these type of devices I usually get a fair amount of static interference when using the car's radio, but that was not the case with this unit, so it probably nicely shielded under the plastic. Another positive.So unfortunately, as much as I tried and wanted to make this work, it really didn't work well for my vehicles so I am returning it (Thanks for making that easy Amazon). Maybe it's that the ports I'm plugging into are well used, but that should not be a consideration here as other less expensive devices work fine. Hopefully the next iteration of this device will have be a little bigger or have the necessary tension springs to enable a more secure fit. I'll be keeping an eye out for this. If it wasn't for the loos fit I would certainly have given this product five stars.

Works as advertised! No complaints so far (2 weeks in)

It kept backing itself out of the 12v plug in my car. Other than that it worked when it made contact.
