How do you tell which hose goes to the Hot water side?

One has red marks the othe cold no mistake

what do I need for install it? a control box for the hot water? or something else?

There is no control box, just put the water lines through the counter top and hook them up, then put the batteries in , test for leaks and your done.

Did you buy the plate on Amazon? If not, do you remember the brand and model name of the plate? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I did not buy any plate as we had our countertop drilled specially for this faucet.
