Would it read mobile phone's nfc?

this is standard 14443A proticol reader which can read the physical serial number from the card or tag. if you mobil phone NFC can simulater as standard Mifare card,then its serial number will be read on this reader. If your phone NFC can not be set in card mode, it will not work with this reader. Tks. Taylor

i'm unable to read nfc cards. there is no response from tapping NFC tags. the cards provided with the reader work as expected. any advice?

The reader supports NFC 14443A protocol, and read the 4 byte UID, looks you NFC chip now is not 14443A and can not work on reader

hi, can i use this on a linux system? macbook works, didn't seems to work on linux. light keep blinking.

linux should work. if led keep blink, means reader does not get the communication with host . it maybe 1 host usb port hardware problem－－－ use other usb cabke to try 2 host current limited-- use usb hub between reader and host 3 you also can use a standard usb keyboard connect to you linux host, to verify if host accept data from keyboard any problem, let me know.
