Does what it says on the tin, nice and sharp, fits a standard xacto knife. The reason I knocked off 1 star is because the very tip snaps off very easily (tried 3 of the blades just to see; all snapped off within the first 4 cuts). Given that I'm using the knife to cut thick stock paper against a metal straight edge, it doesn't really affect me. But if you wanted to use the knife with a french curve or some other fine cutting and relied on the tip, it's something to be mindful of.

🔪 The Blue Spot Tools 12-piece precision hobby knife blades are made from SK5 steel and arrive lightly oiled to prevent corrosion, which is useful for long-term storage. Straight out of the box, they are sharp and cut cleanly, making them well-suited for intricate work. The included storage box is a nice addition, keeping the blades organised and easy to access. Although they are designed for the Blue Spot Soft Grip Precision Knife (29612), I tested them with three other blade handles, and they fitted very well, so they should be compatible with a range of similar tools. 🔪 One thing I really like is the straight spine, which helps keep the blade firmly in place. Some other blades I have used had a slightly tapered spine, which made them more likely to shift during use, but that is not an issue here. The blades also have a key slot, though this wasn’t necessary for any of my blade holders. Overall, they feel secure and reliable. The packaging includes clear safety warnings, and there is an age restriction on purchase, which is worth noting. Good value too. ✔️
