A tank of a knife!!
I actually hate to cal it a "tank", mainly because it's so much more refined than that, but it just feels indestructible. I guess if you combined a Cadillac with a tank :-) It's easily as well constructed as any of my ZT or Benchmade knives ... at this price point though, it better be!The CF scale isn't exactly "grippy", but it's not "smooth" either. It sort of reminds me of the G10 used on the ZT0350. The Ti side has a nice ribbed pattern that should help hide the everyday scuffs. It it surprisingly comfortable to hold.It opens virtually as fast and as smooth as a ZT0560 ... and that's saying a lot, considering the massive chunk of steel that it has to lift each time! The blade is insanely thick too ... like, if the BK2 were a folder!I have not experienced any of the lock stick that some others have complained about, even after flipping it open with a fair amount of force. The detent was strong right out of the box, as expected, but easy to adjust. The blade is dead-on perfectly centered, with no movement in any direction. My only nits to pick ... I would have preferred a deep-carry pocket clip, just to hide it better when carrying. The stonewash finish is very light, more like satin - I was hoping for a darker finish to the blade, but there's nothing wrong with this either. I'd also prefer an open back with standoffs, instead of the G10 spacer, but that's just a personal preference.I own the Defender as well, but am starting to like this one more.Bottom-line, if you can find one for a good price, buy it. You will not regret it!

Excellent knife. Reflects the great fit and finish Lionsteel ...
Excellent knife. Reflects the great fit and finish Lionsteel is known for. Built like a tank. Not a small knife.
