I am very pleased with BulkSupplements Pure D-Mannose. I occasionally get UTIs from sex or bubble baths and have the occasional need to take something for the discomfort. This quality product is very effective without the expense (financial and health wise) and chemicals. The powder arrived quick and well packaged. Upon opening, it has a very light, sweet smell. Re-closing the zippered package was a little challenging as I had to shake the powder down but not difficult enough to be frustrating in my opinion. A quick taste of the plain product reveals a slight sweet taste. It mixes well with liquids. In water it practically disappears. I actually gave some to my friend's daughter in a glass of water without telling her (with her mom's permission, of course) and she never knew until we told her. Like me, her slight irritation disappeared. I use it in water, juices, yogurt, on my cereal, and more. I tend to use it as a preventative when romance is high or when planning on a relaxing bubble bath at the end of a long week. It has served me well and I have avoided trips to the local doctor and the pharmacist. I stumbled upon this D-Mannose while researching for natural ways to deal with UTIs. I originally tried another highly rated brand but BulkSupplements had the better price and a greater amount. If you research D-Mannose, you'll find that it not only supports overall urinary tract health by reducing the binding of unwanted bacteria to the lining of the urinary tract and balancing the flora, but it is reportedly safe for long-term use and does not interfere with blood sugar levels. I highly recommend BulkSupplements Pure D-Mannose for the quality, the price, its ease of use, and to help significantly reduce the risk of recurring UTIs. My only complaint/suggestion to BulkSupplements is that they list the amount in ounces as well as grams. But, this suggestion does not affect my rating.

This last January I suddenly came down with a fever, severe body aches, and terrible stabbing pain under each rib. I was diagnosed with a uti with the possibility of it being in my kidneys. I was terrified of a hospital visit (the expense) so I asked for the doctor to give me some injections of antibiotics and an oral rx. It seemed to clear up after 10 days of the antibiotics, but after about 3 days from my last dosage, I could tell that I had a uti with the classic burning and pain in lower abdominal area. I went in and they tested and grew a strain that matched the same bacteria as it has from before. I was given a different antibiotic. That one helped a little, but I still was uncomfortable after the 10 days, and the day after my last dose I was feeling really terrible. So, i went back in and they tested to make sure it wasn't an std or anything else going on down there. Everything was fine, but they sample grew back the same bacteria and was even more densely infected than when I had gone in initially. So, I was given monurol (an expensive, one-time dose antibiotic) . That did nothing. I was so scared and depressed by this time thinking that I had an antibiotic resistant uti and would need to get iv antibiotics, and worried about that even working, and thinking about all the damage to my body from these antibiotics. I had been trying other cures too; loads of vitamin c, probiotics, garlic supplements, acv, and dmannose. I obsessively googled information on curing UTI's, which added to the terror of some people's horror stories, but it's also how I discovered a miracle cure (to me). I was not taking enough d mannose to rid myself of the infection. I started taking 1 tsp every 1-3 hours, plus mixing a few teaspoons into a gallon jug of water and drinking throughout the day. Within 2 days i felt wonderful. I was buying the little jars of the stuff from the vitamin Shoppe, and it was getting quite expensive though. I went through about 3-4 jars in about a week, and quit when I ran out. I was feeling great for several months until I was suddenly hit again with body aches, high fever, and flank pain. I almost went to the ER because my fever got to 104.2 and I was getting delirious. The fever finally went down and I knew I needed to find some affordable dmannose in bulk, and found this product. I bought a jar at the store to get me by until this came. It only took 1.5 days to get here. After 2 days of taking tons of the dmannose, my fever and pain was completely gone. I've read that some people get diarrhea and upset stomach when they take d mannose. I did get bloating and pooped a lot (no diarrhea)(sorry for the tmi), but, to me, it was nothing compared to the horrible side effects and destruction to the gut flora and good bacteria that the antibiotics cause. I am so happy and relieved that I just want to tell everyone about it. Fortunately, for the people in my life, nobody I know had issues with UTI's though, so I have nobody to share my exciting discovery with who can truly appreciate it. I mean, I can't even explain the relief of not having to worry if I'm going to die from complications from an antibiotic resistant uti, or go into horrible debt from medical bills trying to cure it, or causing horrible damage to my body and changing my health and quality of life forever from the overuse of antibiotics. I read a lot of awful stories of these things happening to people. Anyways, what I'm getting at is that I'm not a big review-writer, and I am only sharing this to help other people because this has helped me out so much.

I had been struggling with a UTI for almost a week. A while back I was told that cranberry juice was supposed to help eliminate the infection but it was doing nothing for me. In fact, it was probably making it worse. I tried looking everywhere for a natural solution when I stumbled on an article talking about D-Mannose. At this point, what did I have to lose? I decided to try it. I got a small amount from a different brand first. It seemed to be helping, which was great. Unfortunately, this infection was so rooted at that point that I needed more powder. I found the best price at Bulksupplements! It arrived in the package shown in the picture which is so much easier to use than the little bottle of the previous brand. My only complaint is that the "zipper" on this specific package is slightly deformed and is difficult to close sometimes but it's not a big deal if you keep that fact in mind. I used 1 to 1.5 teaspoons in a glass of water every few hours in the beginning. The taste was slightly better than the other brand, but not too much different. I would describe it as a hint of sweetness in the water. The more powder to water ratio that I used, the worse the taste got for me, but I am very sensitive to tastes in my water so it may not be a problem for others. Bulksupplements brand D-Mannose seemed to work even faster than the previous brand and in no time at all, the UTI was gone. I was really hoping to not take another trip to the doctor to get some horrible antibiotics and I'm glad to say that I don't have to. I may even start to use this as a preventative as well as a cure. Overall, I would say that Bulksupplements Pure D-Mannose Powder is the best that you will find. The price is great and it works very well. Even if you were struggling with some other brand D-Mannose, I would try this one before you give up. I highly recommend it.

Let me be clear that I've had recurrent UTIs of no known cause and have been in pain many times in my life, but UTIs really take the cake. In the period that I've had about 6 UTIs in 4 months (I know, it's crazy, I felt like dying then and I'm glad I'm past that), I used bulk supplements to take down the symptoms to a level 0. My pain was definitely nearing a 7 due to the clenching, burning, aching, and shard-like feeling of the UTI- however, this product mitigated the symptoms when severe. I took a spoonful every hour and it relieved the symptoms until I felt normal again. However, this product cannot completely get rid of the infection, and is therefore a useful product for relieving symptoms but not for curing and getting rid of the bacteria. If you think you have a UTI take this to stop feeling like death but go to the doctor so you don't destroy your kidneys and urethra and your bladder. (And don't take medical advice from strangers on the internet either) It is also an excellent preventative measure. When engaging in activities that may encourage a UTI, taking D-Mannose beforehand is a very effective way to prevent the symptoms from happening. In my situation, I took multiple doses (if possible) afterwards to feel comfortable about my urethra. When I took it consistently after these activities, I rarely got a UTI. Lastly, the taste is excellent. Eating D Mannose is fun. It's very sugary in an "off" way, but it is not unpleasant. It has the consistency of stevia and is half the sweetness of stevia. I think it might be good in tea or coffee too, but I haven't tried it.

I'll begin with the confession that I don't write reviews- that's how important I find reviewing this product to be. I am a chronic sufferer of UTIs; after sex, if I'm dehydrated, if my pants are too tight, if I drink too much coffee, if the day ends in Y, I'm going to get one. At 28 years old, I believe I have the beginnings of interstitial cystitis simply from all of the UTIs that I've logged. It absolutely cripples your quality of life. I've been on antibiotics to treat as well as prevent UTIs for years, and they have become less effective for me (which is terrifying). I gave up coffee (my favorite), soda, I limit alcohol to an almost non-existent amount (hard for a 28 year old with a job that is primarily to entertain people), and even started cutting out gluten as I've heard that it can also irritate IC. All of these things have helped, but D-Mannose is now something I cannot be without. I get a twinge on a daily basis just waking up, so I take a teaspoon in water every morning and night and it's started to completely eradicate that feeling. It's amazing! For preventing UTIs and getting rid of discomfort, it's great. When I have a UTI, this will also get rid of it; it just takes a few days. I have to be drinking it with water basically all day, which gives me terrible gastrointestinal issues (hence the 4 star review) but in all fairness, I don't know if it's this product or if it's the nature of D-Mannose in general. I pop an azo and start drinking this stuff and I start feeling better by the first day, and the UTI is usually completely gone by day 5 and then I go back to my maintenance dose. If you are a chronic sufferer of UTIs or have IC, there is hope that doesn't involve a doctor bill or an antibiotic! I cannot even explain how many times I've gone to bed and thanked God for this product. I'll never be without it again for the rest of my life.

This is my 2-3 bag. Since a stroke 2 years ago, I was plagued with uti, constantly. Friend told me about this and I have been UTI free since. Over a year. Highly recommend. Friend uses as needed. I use every day. Works well for both of us

After becoming intimate with my boyfriend 9 months ago, I have suffered from UTIs every 5-6 weeks with nothing to help but antibiotics. I tried everything; cranberry juice, cranberry pills, tons of water, going to the bathroom before and after, making sure we were both showered before, that I cleaned really well after, EVERYTHING my doctor and research told me to do. Not once did I come across D-Mannose in anything I read or from anything my doctors told me. I was about to make an appointment with a Urologist when a girl friend recommended D-Mannose to me three weeks ago. After doing some research, I began using it as a supplement at that time and then as a preventive measure two weeks ago, after ordering it right here because I was on my 7th week of no UTI and was "due." I could cry as I write this because I have been intimate with my boyfriend several times in the last two weeks on D-Mannose and NO UTI! I wasn't even careful like I have been in the past with showering, drinking tons of water, going to the bathroom, etc. so I could really try this stuff out to see if it would work. This Sunday will be my 9th week UTI free and after using this product, I feel like it has been the cure I was praying for. I dissolve a little under a tablespoon in 8 oz. of water and drink it an hour before being intimate and then drink the same amount right after. There was one time I wasn't able to drink it before and just had it after and it still worked. I have also been taking a D-Mannose with cranberry pill supplement once daily as the bottle recommends but I buy that locally because I can get it locally. I am telling you, if you suffer like I did, TRY THIS! PLEASE BE AWARE that D-Mannose only works on e-coli bacteria, which is the cause of UTIs 85% of the time. My doctor ran a culture on the last UTI I had and told me the bacteria that caused it was e-coli, and because all my UTIs have been intimacy related, I deduced that most of them were probably caused by the same bacteria and so D-Mannose would be a good fit for me. You may need to get a urine culture done with your next UTI before trying this. This company has the most inexpensive product for the effectiveness that I have found online. I WILL FOREVER BUY THIS PRODUCT RIGHT HERE. Thank you, BulkSupplements!

This D-Mannose powder seems identical to the NOW brand that I had been buying in smaller containers, thus saving a lot of money. It is less sweet tasting than the powder in the jars, but I use a little more of it. I think it is real D-Mannose. It seems to help control the almost constant bladder irritation that I have if I do not use the D-Mannose and also uva ursi capsules. The powder in the bag is fresh and soft. I filled a smaller jar and the powder stays soft in that also and doesn't form clumps like the "jar stuff" does even with little desiccant packs in the jar. This might mean it is not pure D-Mannose or it might mean nothing but I'm mentioning that difference. I will probably buy more of this Bulk Supplements brand.

I use D-Mannose to fend off e-coli UTIs. This product upset my gut similar to the sweetener erythritol and my UTI did not improve until I reverted to a brand I have used in the past. I have serious doubts as to the contents of this product. Very disappointing for the cost. It will be going into the bin.
