This works well, and as advertised. My computer sits away from my desk, and I use this to connect my USB mouse and keyboard. I can also leave my USB external hard drive on my desk plugged in, and turn it on/off with the push of a button. I really like this product, and hope it lasts for a long while.

My post, in its entirety, is an expression of my opinion, only.The reasons why this product is not for me: The power cord is to short and too light; The unit itself is too light - slides around easily; The on/off switches are recessed on one side and too small to the touch; So that I can see each recessed very small switch and its associated light, I must point the hub and its power cord and USB cord towards me making the installation with those cables awkward. All this for $28.50.IMPORTANT NOTE TO TECKS! IN MY UNIT: When I use the ac/dc converter (not always required), the unit feeds electric BACK INTO THE MOTHERBOARD thru the USB cable! So I discovered - when I shut the power off to my MB to work on it, it was still receiving power !

The hub has useful features, color coded ports, accommodates both USB 1.0 and 3.0 devices as well as quick charge, and easy to reach on/off switch for each port with lighted indicators that are not too bright. Although light in weight, seems to be well constructed and no heat issues. What this devices lacks is a longer USB cord that attaches to your system, it is only about 3 feet, thus limits your configuration. Have various peripherals and several storage devices connected to my PCs, no connectivity issues. Not sure of durability, only installed several days ago.

USB Port functions as advertised but have problems with the cables. The USB 3.0 cable is too short so I must put it on a platform near my desktop to work. Also, the tip of the power cord does not fully plug in so I must continually check that it is plugged in. With multiple devices plugged in, intermittent performance is a clue that the power plug has come loose.

Actually works. Have been through several cheaper models only to have them fail after 3 weeks. This one is still going after several months.

Malfunctioned after 2 weeks, unrecognized device due to driver error. No driver update support.

This hub does the job. It handles 5 USB connections to my MacBook Sierra. At first, the Logitech unifying receiver and the Anker Ethernet adapter went missing when the MacBook woke from sleep. I found and installed the MacOS driver for the Anker unit, then re-installed the unifying software (it had gone missing after the Sierra upgrade). Now all is good.

I should have bought one with more ports.The design in great.
