WD Honors Its Name
My primary desktop, saddled with a lethargic SATA HDD, seemed to have enrolled in the Slowpoke Marathon, with boot-up times that could rival a snail's cross-country journey. Initially eyeing a brand that could potentially drain my bank account, I stumbled upon the Western Digital (WD) SSD, a hero in shining silicon armor, offering both reliability and a friendlier price tag. With both my trusty steeds, the primary and secondary HP Z620 Workstations, now equipped with the WD SSD, I witnessed a transformation akin to a caffeinated cheetah. Installing Linux POP-OS on my secondary PC turned it into a speedster, thanks to the SSD's magical potion. The boot-up time, once a coffee-break-worthy affair, now resembles the blink-and-you'll-miss-it sprint of an overenthusiastic track star.To ensure my SSD didn't play hide-and-seek inside my PC, I threw in a mounting kit – because nobody likes surprise aerobatics from their storage devices. All in all, the WD SSD has earned its spot as the MVP (Most Valuable Part) in my tech ensemble. Considering the standing ovation it received, I'm already thinking about giving its twin a backstage pass in my next build.

Simple added upgrade
I installed this into a very small mini PC. The PC came with a small storage amount and it just needed a bit more for what I needed. Installed easy enough and works well for it.

Good enough
The write speed is rather slow, but this isn't intended to be a high-performance drive. Considering the price and its intended use-case (casual usage), it's pretty good.

Saved my HP laptop and booted on the first try after cloning.
I have a HP laptop I purchased from Costco in '22 and it had a HDD and never really worked right. It finally got so slow that I was ready to get another one. But when I looked at the performance the HDD was always right at 100% no matter what so I thought that despite the properites saying it working correctly, maybe it's the hard drive. I pruchased this one and a inexpensive SATA cable and used Acronis to clone the drive which took over two hours. Once that was done I swapped the old internal HD for this one and it fired up on the first boot in seconds. Now it's like a new PC shuts down and loads in seconds rather than minutes. I'm doing any gaming or anything but all I can say is this disk saved me from buying a new PC. Very happy with it and it's performance. It loads programs and apps extremely quickly.
