Hugo Adjustable Offset Handle Cane with Reflective Strap, Rose

Its a brown offset cane, and I like brown. Yes, yes, it hat TWO billboard size painted labels on the cane. But those are easily removed (utility knife, pocket knife, sandpaper, paint over them?). My guess is that if you use this cane often enough and heavily enough that the difference between a cane rated by the maker at 300 lbs max, and another cane at 250 lbs max begins to concern you, I think you will find that the tips wear out. The cane is designed to use a .75" (three quarters of an inch) tip, but the sale price of the tips is near enough to the cost of the cane, that you'd be better off buying another cane every year, or switching to another tip. I suggest a "standard" cane tip, most big chain pharmacies keep them in stock in 5/8", 3/4", 1" or even 1 1/8" or 1 1/4" (crutch tips in the larger sizes). I myself pulled the cane tip off and went to a round 3" diameter tip which saves floor and carpets from wear and tear, but also supports you better in soft soil, and stands on its own, and if it gets knocked over by a careless waiter, can be easily returned to its fully locked upright position by stepping on the tip. I have heard of these canes failing at the grip after use, and I have no idea what the cure for that is, but at $16, just buy another, and transfer your tip to the new cane.Also, until you buy a cane that weighs in at the same weight as a small SUV, you will not appreciate how light this cane is. Do NOT underestimate the pleasure of using a light cane. Each step allows the slightest, automatic life to return it to the position for the next step. (No, it doesn't make it better than walking without one, but that ship has sailed, I think.)So is it perfect? No. But it's pretty darned nice. With a little bit of work and thought its great. It's cheap enough, light enough, strong enough.[This ain't my first rodeo, been using a cane to get around since 1997. I like the adjustable canes, and pretty much detest the folding canes of ANY brand. Until you walk down the aisle at a funeral with your cane rattling the whole way, you don't know what embarrassment is. Hugo folding canes use a stout elastic strap that requires a Hugo made tip with a hook to trap the elastic, or your cane falls apart. Avoid them. Avoid them ALL.]

My first 2 hugo canes the bead that goes in the hole where you adjust the staff and which also takes your weight are longer and stronger. I have had 2 canes collapse on me as I walked, the canes which are now being made with shorter beads for some reason. Your current canes are dangerous and until you go back to the longer bead I will no longer buy any product that has your name on it

Beautiful cane and a trustworthy product, my second Hugo cane and probably not the last! I hated the thought of using a cane so chose to think of stylish, colorful canes as accessories to my outfits - this paisley model fills the bill very well. The logo on this model is small and hardly noticeable - Thanks HUGO!!! The Hugo Derby Handles remain my favorite as they are the most comfortable among my collection of canes.Note: DO NOT be tempted to use nail polish remover to remove the logo on the paisley cane.... the printed design will begin to lift along with the logo!

I really like the cane but the 2 logos are too big. You're carrying around a big billboard. So I covered the two logos with two large pieces of shiny electricians tape. Looks much better. /// For those of you wondering what size the tip is, it is 0.75" wide. Their web site does not give this info. I emailed them to ask them this question 3 days ago and they did not respond. I just took off another star on my rating.

My father is very happy with his new cane. The arch helps with balance; as well as a way to set the cane on the side of the counter without it falling; which is great for him (bending isn't his friend anymore). The rubber stopper on the bottom is wide, but not obnoxiously so. Very nice cane!

When a hip replacement left me in need of a cane for a while, I wanted one with some pizzazz. This cane is definitely it!Transitioning from a walker, I wanted some extra stability so I also ordered the Hugo Quadpod cane tip at the same time. My husband replaced the original cane tip with the Quadpod with no problem. Being new to using a cane there was a slight learning curve but now I am good to go -- in style!

I did some early Christmas shopping this year.My g/f has cerebral palsey and this cane is all she uses.. she seemsto really like the handle for comfort... any who...the price was great 15 bucks per cane rather then $28.99 each at the average Canadianpharmacy. I know that on amazon these canes come on sale alot for 13 bucks so keep your eyes open:)unfortunately I needed black canes so I was stuck with 15 dollars being my price... but I'm totally happy with that price.also a percentage of the sale goes towards MS so that is really nice being able to help support that as well.Shipping was fast and had no problem's.

I live in Germany with the military and found that I needed a cane to help keep my weight off of my ankle when it starts to hurt. I bought a cane from the German store, but it didn't feel good to hold in my hand. So when I started looking at amazon and found that they had so many more products available, I ordered me this offset cane from Hugo. It's sturdy and much more comfortable to hold. My husband sometimes need a cane also when his hip starts hurting. So we have 3 hugo canes and I ordered another to make sure we have one in each of our cars and one at work for him and one at home.

It's nice. I have MS but refuse to support the MS Society of Canada for many reasons. Bias to certain pharmaceutical companies is one reason. Crying poverty by my chapter after having successful fundraising campaigns is another.This cane came with advertising and stating portions from sale for the MS Society...if I would have known this....I would never have bought it.I was harassed into fundraising despite limitations from my progressive MS and NO ASSISTANCE from the MS Society.I will donate funds to stem cell research. Not Big Pharma even if indirectly if I am aware.I'll never buy another Hugo Mobility aid for this very personal reason.

Loving this cane! The handle grip is SO COMFY. The grip on the bottom of the cane is larger than my other, and softer too, which I prefer. The color is true to advertised (brown).

It adjusts well . I lean heavily on these canes and am heavy myself - it holds well.While the handles are very comfortable, the soft outer coating is wearing off. I purchased this about 18 months ago, so quite disappointed.

The cane itself is good. Light weight and comfortable on the hand. The stability washer in the rubber tip cut through the tip and fell out. Have to get a new tip now.
