Prom (Blu-ray + DVD)

Okay, so many reviews are down on this movie...stating things like "how many cliches can Disney fit in one movie" and "Same old stories". For the record, I agree with these statments. BUT, I am a child of the 80's....remember Breakfast Club? Talk about cliches...a nerd, jock, princess, goth, pot head. I LOVED Breakfast Club at the time. I still enjoy it, but it doesn't speak to me like it did when I lived that part of a persons life (I was in highschool when Breakfast Club came out). I think the same can be said about Prom. My oldest daughter loves it...I can feel she relates to much of this like I did Breakfast Club. I liked the movie in that it was pretty G-rated stuff....no real heavy message about sex or drugs....just typcial teenage anxst and drama.This movie wont appeal to many people over 30, but it speaks right to the teens..and that is normal. I am neutral on Disney....neither a huge fan, nor do I hate them for producing market-specific movies.If you have early teen boys or girls I think they will like this movie. As a parent, I can watch it with my kids and not groan or be overly bored. It does highlight the energy of youth and the desire to fit in yet make a statement. Hopefully this review will help balance the previous reviews. I just don't think this is a horrrible, 2 star movie.If you can get this for under $10 including shipping I think you won't be dissappointed.

I rented this movie because my eight year old daughter really wanted to watch it, I thought - great another tween movie that keeps on playing Firework.The first twenty minutes seem to drag with a very Disney like perception of what's important to an eighteen year old. Oddly though I got sucked into this and really enjoyed it. The depiction of the final weeks at high school with no teenage debauchery makes for a very refreshing change, honestly it does! Unrealistic but a feel good movie.You will find yourself caring about the characters and in the end feel like shouting "YES" as the jock/player teen gets his comeuppance.A really nice feel good family movie from Disney I recommend it highly.

Prom is a wonderful Disney film. One of my favorites so far. With a great cast of newcomers such as Aimee Teegarden and Joe Adler. It focuses on several high school stories all connected to one special night, Prom. There is some flirting, kissing, a brief fight, but there is no foul language or graphic sexual content. The Blu-ray combo pack comes with loads of bonus features such as bloopers, deleted scenes, music videos, and much more. It also comes with a DVD copy of the film, with only Bloopers and A "Putting on Prom" BTS featurette. Other than that, the story has a great punchline and has positive messages about being yourself and the importance of honesty. I would highly recommend this to anyone who would love to see a great family film.

The main reason I got this movie was for Danielle Campbell since she is so gorgeous and as an artist I wanted more reference of her. Overall the movie wasn't the best but it was nice. I liked the characters played by Aimee Teegarden and Thomas McDonell (also they are both gorgeous). They had a nice story and chemistry and a nice ending. Not too memorable but a nice watch. :D

This movie was better than I expected. It was a little edgier than a normal Disney movie. Even though it was PG, it seemed like a movie that a high school senior experiencing prom could appreciate. Yes, the high school prom, college, jock, bad boy themes are all cliche and a little played out, but if you're ok with that, I think you'll really enjoy this movie as I did.

Love this movie, bought it for my mom for mother's day. She couldn't wait to open it up! Disc played very well, packaged and sealed. The back was a little damaged on the case, but the movie still played.

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter after reading reviews online. I wasn't disappointed. It had a cute story, taught some little lessons, had some cute romances and kept my daughters and my attention. I was happy that except for a small fight that they used to teach a lesson it was very clean and safe for my daughter to watch. I was surprised that it kept my attention as well. Good for teens and pre-teens.

On time, the Dvd was perfect. A teenage film but very cute. I hadn't seen it before but after knowing one of the boys from the 100 was appearing there...just wanted to checked that out.

Cercavo da tanto questo film,non lo trovavo in nessuno negozio e anche servizi online.Sono riuscita a trovare questo dvd tramite un negozio di film di Modena. Il film oltre che economico è arrivato in pochissimi giorni ,sigillato come nuovo.

Un film parfait pour jeunes ado/ado ou enfants. L'histoire n'est pas exceptionnelle mais se laisse regarder. Fait passer un bon moment.

Un film pulito e adatto all visione di grandi e piccoli, chissà perché mai uscito nei cinema italiani infatti l' ho scoperto per caso.

Super film!!!! A regardé sans modération! Acteurs super, histoires mignonnes et bonne narration! Et puis ça fait du bien à la tête :)
