Kai scissors are my new favorite!
I love my Kai scissors, why? They fit my hands (large for a woman) very well, their action is smooth, balance is great, and best of all, the cutting edges sharp--and stay sharp! None of this "I was used to cut something else so I can't cut this" behavior I have observed in many other scissors. I bought the embroidery scissors as well, and their tiny tips can reach in and snip threads clean. They are absolutely my best embroidery scissors. I threw out all the others as it was so difficult to cut ends of threads clean (easier needle threading as well as cutting). I bought an extra pair of the dressmaking shears and gave them to a friend who loves them as well! Great product, I hope you love this brand too. And I was not paid nor reimbursed nor offered or given any kind of incentive for my review. I just want to share my experiences to help others.

Great for the price but Zwilling are better
For the price, these are great scissors. They cut cotton well and they pretty comfortable to use. I like the blade cover and it snaps in place well. The rubber handles are a bit bulky though. The scissors do glide when cutting. I own a set of Zwilling Superfection Classic Dressmaking Scissors 230. These are $45 now on Amazon but I got them for $22 awhile back. They are not bulky and have a great handle design that's like a textured plastic. They don't provide a blade cover so I use a leather sheath. Similar to the Kai in the sense that both have a softer feel than traditional solid metal which over extended use are painful to use. The zwilling set is better at cutting at all aspects over the Kai. They are smoother and cuts through thick cloth easier. The Kai set is a better deal but if I wanted the best, go for the zwilling.

Comfortable, sharp scissors reasonably priced.
I bought these Kai scissors and the Fiskars ones as my current fabric scissors were so dull they wouldn't cut fabric any more. The Kai scissors are far superior to the Fiskars. They are comfortable in the hand (which for me is the most important thing after sharpness). When you cut fabric, you get that nice, satifying crisp, clipping sound, not the grainy, working-real-hard sound that you get from lessor scissors. The Kai handles are slightly cushioned and non-slip which also helps with the comfort. I would buy these again and again.

Easy to cut fabric, but uncomfortable to hold
My wife got these scissors for sewing (not professional, just mending things and doing little projects). They cut fabric very well. She would have liked the blades to be longer and the handles to be different - they are uncomfortable to use/hold. She wouldn't get them if she was a pro seamstress, but they are good enough for her modest needs.

Sharp and not heavy to use
Love these Kai fabric scissors. They are just the right weight for me to use for a long period of time cutting off hems of bridesmaids dresses to alter. Other scissors are heavier and cause fatigue. These are sharp - so be sure to close before setting down, I accidently caught a piece of the lining fabric while placing down scissors open and it sliced a nick in the fabric! These are the 2nd paid of Kai products I have - the embroidery scissors are also very sharp.

The first time I cut with these they made ‘that sound’ of a clean cut through fabric! Love love love them.

Sharp clean-cutting fabric scissors
Lovely sharp fabric scissors. Love the blade cover to protect the blades against bangs and falls. Great for cutting tricky corners or curves. Probably better to get longer blades for lots of straight cutting. Difficult to cut on a flat surface.
