10 Premium Quality Chrome Cone Shape Bottle Stopper Kits

The item description claims these are durable and will not corrode. This is FALSE. Structurally these are sturdy, and the chrome finish looks nice, but if they are left in a wine bottle for more than a few days you can expect to see corrosion. The attached image is after 4 days in a pinot noirs bottle. This is probably worse for certain types of wines, but still unacceptable for a product that is designed for one purpose.Very frustrating to be discovering this after giving a handful of these as gifts over the past couple of years (we had not really used one ourselves until now). Now I am questioning the safety of the base metal under the chrome...

I've carved out a number of bottle stoppers from wood/resin with no complaints so far on quality of these pieces. Look great, and screwed in easy for me (just use a 11/32" or 23/64" drill bit. Not a full 3/8"). The bottom will twist off from the threads, so be aware of that, though I found it easier to install into my pulls that way. Just clamp down on the threads and twist (I used a vise grip) and everything will install just fine.

Nice looking, fits well, however the chrome is prone to blistering and pitting.

Very nice, great silicone gasket, they are heavy enough by themselves to seal up a bottle, they are threaded nicely with adapter stud, exactly what I was hoping for, much better than most others I've seen.

The bottle stoppers are constructed very well. The ones I ordered from Rockler did not have enough threads on the insert to hold it in the stopper and would come out. These stoppers were twice as long and stayed in the stopper. I will buy more of these.
