Direct Audio Single Ear Bud (Atomic Red)

The fit and finish on the single ear bud I received was very poor. There are several sharp spots where the plastic casting was not smoothed down enough, which makes it uncomfortable. The fitment into my ear is poor. The element housing is too big and the soft ear-canal part doesn't seal. The sound quality when compared to an old set of Sony ear buds is terrible. I'd request a return if I hadn't disposed of the packing.

I did not like the rubber tip coming off shortly after I began using the item. I actually found it in lying on the floor and wondered what it was. After I figured it out when I put plastic earbud in my ear, I super-glued the rubber tip in place. I use this earbud with my mid 70's clock radio to listen while falling asleep, and again before the alarm buzzer sounds, using built in timers. It does the job quite well, though the sound quality upon the timer(s) starting is fuzzy. It takes a little while to clear up. The jack diameter is too small. It works, but if the jack is pulled to one side a bit the sound craps out, or quits. I bought 3 of 'em. All the same oor quality.

Sadly, these broke after only about 3 months of daily use (approx 5 hours a day). First it started cutting out, then they just died. It seems that the wires broke somewhere near the plug from what I can tell (when it started cutting out...when I wiggled just write, the sound would come back). We are only allowed one ear bud at work, so this was perfect at the beginning.

Only mono signal; single channel. Body of earpiece is thicker than foam piece, so earbud can't be inserted far enough to block out outside noise without jamming hard plastic body into ear.

I purchased this in Feb. 2019. Used it on my laptop during work. (Office work)The flat cable snapped right under the ear bud after 6 months of use. Flat cable is too hard and stiff for this type of product. No flex support under the ear bud. Not sure what the material of the cable is made of, but it harden over time as well. Specially near the bud. (by my body heat??)Sound quality is fair. I mean it's one ear bud, what would you expect?The edges of the bud are not sharp enough to cut, but it is sharp. Material seemed like an ABS plastic. very cheap make, but very light weight. Fit was good with my mid size ear. If you are small silicone tip user, I wouldn't recommend this.

This has to be one of the worst sounding earbuds I have ever encountered. I purchased this for my daughter so she could hear music in monaural as she is deaf in one ear. This earbud sounds like it's playing from a tin can. I should have known by the price. if fidelity is not an issue for you, this may not be a bad purchase. for music, go elsewhere.

I bought a few different mono-type buds, thinking I would choose which worked best for me. Comfort was ok, but the sound quality was unacceptable. I listen to talk shows at night, and the voices were distorted to a degree. I threw them away, and would not recommend this product.

Really good construction, fits my ear comfortably. This is not supposed to be a high end audio device but a single earbud for casual or discrete listening. Voices are clear but not for music. Really good quality for the dirt cheap price. I bought four to save the shipping and will have extra for when I eventually lose one or more.

Delivered on time and appears to be a good product.
