I have tinted windows on my truck, so not a major loss of functionality.Compared to OEM prices which wanted $300+ for the whole assembly, and a third party end-user reseller which wanted the OEM price for used item. I elected to use this product.Since I have tinted windows on my side doors, the auto-dimming feature had minimal value and I could do without it.I would give the product 5 stars if it was truly an OEM replacement, which is stated in the description.

Good replacement
Good replacement, flat, not wavy or warped. Does not distort the view at all. That's the one thing I worried about non factory replacements. Snapped right in. Has the hookup for factory defogger. Although it did not come with the anti-shake tabs. You'll have to pull those off the old on. Not a problem at all though.

Good and bad
Mirror was in perfect condition. Fit was not exact. Couldn't get it to snap in fully and the vibration from driving caused it to fall out and break

Although I don’t have a mirror defrost, this fit perfectly on my 2012 F-150 STX.
