Game of Thrones: Season 1 - Season 6

Just a heads up, these are the Dolby Atmos versions of each of the 6 seasons. So It's an inexpensive way to upgrade from the original releases if you feel so inclined.And note, as of 4/27/2017, my digital copy code worked just fine.

This relates to Game of Thrones - Season 1 - 6 (Blu Ray) Region Free, as sold by a2z Blu Ray with order fulfillment by Amazon:Please remember that "Region Free" has been improved and refined in the past few years so that if you have a decent Blu Ray player that has been updated with the latest firmware, you should be JUST FINE! That said, also remember that typically, Blu Ray disks respond a little more slowly than standard DVD disks in a player, and that may be more noticeable with "Region Free" disks. They do play just fine -- but you may need to be a little bit patient and not try to rush things or you could have a system lockup and need to start over.Next, as it often is with foreign-produced movie disks, some of the information on the box or the inserts may not be accurate! I'm not sure why this is so, but you'll probably notice it if you try to add minutes attributed to individual disks and then try to match those totals with what is written on the box or the inserts. Even the NUMBER of disks themselves, included in a season may be incorrectly stated. The IMPORTANT thing is to verify that each season is complete, if you have any questions -- but -- be careful in searching for verification information or you might SPOIL your viewing experience by finding out more about the plot than you really want to know!I did have questions, and the folks at a2z Blu Ray were very quick and exceptionally responsive to my questions! Let your Amazon Seller help you and avoid the risk of spoiling your enjoyment of the story.Now, about the quality of the "Region Free" Blu Ray disks --Absolutely perfect! Give your player enough time to "spool-up" and buffer the splash-pages you need to reference and you should be just fine! I have not experienced any in-play lockups, pixilation, or any other problems. Audio is uniformly very good also.I am enchanted and engaged by the story line, and that, of course, is a separate matter altogether. I've tried to focus on the more "nuts-and-bolts" aspect of actually playing the disks. Just take your time with NAVIGATION through the menu startups and you should have no problems.Another bonus to buying from an excellent Amazon Seller like a2z Blu Ray is that, at the moment, you can buy the entire six-season set for $100 - $110 (it fluctuates). Or, you can go to a big discount membership warehouse like Costco and pay $149....Enjoy! See you on "the Wall"....**** 11 Dec 16 -- Additional comment: Have now worked my way up through Season 4, Episode 2 and have not had any problems getting any of the disks to play perfectly on my Sony Blu-ray player (here in the United States). As long as you don't get in a big hurry and try to jam too many commands on top of each other you should be just fine with these region-free disks.A big plus if you are multi-lingual! There are voice tracks in many different foreign languages, as well as subtitles. The German language voice tracks are surprisingly well done! Enjoy! ********* 24 Dec 16 -- Additional comment after completing watching all six seasons, and a number of the special features.EXCELLENT! No problems at all on my Sony Blu-ray disk player. Region-free worked just fine for me here in the U. S. . The special features are ingeniously arranged, and help the viewer to more easily understand the very complex kingdoms and lands of Game of Thrones.This is easily the best entertainment value I have seen in years. Now I'm sick at the prospect of having to wait until months from now before Season 7 is aired by HBO. I hope you enjoy this series, too. Thank heaven for Great Britain, without which we English-speakers would have only the United States as a supplier of entertainment... and that is often disappointing. I came late to the show so getting Seasons 1-6 in one set was a great buy for me. From my reading this would not be the purchase to make if you already have the individual seasons. The dvds have great bonus materials and the show itself rocks the house. On a side note, the order and delivery process was smooth - as usual. So if you're a newbie to the series or don't already have the dvds- I highly recommend this set.

Superb boxed set of GOT. I experienced no problems of any kind.Edit: After owning this boxed set and viewing it twice I thought 4 stars instead of my original 5 was a more honest review. The reasons are that there is no scene selection provided for any episodes on any discs. I got used to that little convenience with other sets I own and it was a letdown that it was not included in this otherwise great set of GOT. The second is that the episodes must be played at an insanely loud volume level to sound normal when being viewed. The previews everything else sounds fine at a normal volume level. But not the episodes themselves. Normal for me is level 24, but the GOT episodes have to be played at a level of 70 to be heard normally.

Great price but now I'm wondering why.... While the discs come with extra commentary and history, there are MANY SCENES WHICH HAVE BEEN DELETED from each episode. So now I'm trying to understand how this set which appears to be sold legally can have these problems.

Even though I bought this set "brand new," there are issues when playing, as some other reviewers mentioned. There are often very brief pauses that, while minimal in length, do disrupt watching and the flow of the episodes. It happens numerous times on almost all of the episodes I have watched thus far (2 seasons-worth). Annoying to have spent over $100 and have issues the first time they are played. Also, there are only 2 episodes per disc, which seems unnecessary nowadays; why not have 5 on each so there are only 2 dvds per season? Overall, these issues and just the presentation on the menus, etc. seems cheap.

I've been called a "chump" for buying the boxed set when so many others stream it for free. Now I really feel like a dolt. One disc into Season Two and I have found that two of the six discs I've tried to view do not work. Unfortunately, the return date has passed, so I can't send it back. I am thoroughly disappointed. If you don't want people to "steal" product by streaming, give the honest people who pay for it something that actually works.

This has to be a bootleg. The quality is very poor. It has to be 420P or less. LOL. After watching 1 or more episodes I have headaches. The graphics and dark sections blotch out. The intro graphics pixel and blotch. Amazon should stand behind the quality of the products they sell. Sold by MaxZar

I was going to wait until the final series were made to purchase this Blu Ray set...however...I couldn't wait any longer,plus the price fell and it made it a great bargain...I can always buy the last 2 series another time..Anyway..back to the discs.. I'm not really going to give my opinion on the series itself,except to say, that if you know anything about it,just buy it...you won't be dissapointed...I had read that some people have had issues with discs missing...not playing correctly and other disorders...so because of this when they arrived I checked the discs were all there (check). and I actually ran through every disc to make sure they played (check)..After this I began watching the series itself..Firstly...the quality of the discs were first rate and in full screen...which most of HBO series are so no black lines top and bottom.I will point out that I'm usuing an OPPO player and an LG OLED screen and the colours and detail of the picture top notch..in fact the quality was so good I could actually make out the weave on Sean Beans wig on the hairline....As to the sound quality...I'm actually listening to this through a 7.1 system and every sound is crisp and detailed and the steering of any special effects perfect...I'm glad I purchased it before the final 2 series are released and am looking forward to getting them as soon as they are available...Cheers

I don't have cable so I've never seen 'Game of Thrones' before. I bought this box set on a whim because President Obama, Jennifer Lawrence, Madonna, Seth Rogan, Ed Sheeran, Laurence Fishburne and even Conservative MP Michael Gove are reportedly huge fans of 'Game Of Thrones'. And I've got to say, I am not disappointed. It is an incredible story. Everything has consequence: an insignificant snub in Episode 1 leads to a particularly grisly death by Episode 10. As in real life, the good guys rarely ever come out on top. Time and time again 'GoT' totally smashes storyline conventions and expectations: nothing is certain, absolutely no one is safe. There are so many 'Wow!' moments, I don't know of another TV series that packs such a mighty punch. I would urge you to watch GoT if you have not seen it yet - be warned, you will need a strong heart to weather all the shocks you are about to confront.

This is a review for Game of Thrones - Season 1-6 [Blu-ray] [2016] [Region Free] box set.This is an incredible series and has some very imaginative twists and turns in the storylines. I have put off watching it until recently when I thought I would give it a go as it has been running for seven years so there must be something good about it! It is very addictive and I have watched a season a week so far!I have a question for any others who have purchased this Blu Ray box set. When I got to season 4, I opened up the case to find no paper episode guide as there is in seasons 1,2 and 3. I checked seasons 5 and 6 and yep, no episode guide in those either. I have added pics to show what I'm on about. My question is are they missing, or do they simply not exist?

Such a great series definitely worth getting!! Comes in a nice case with each series in a separate case all stored in one cardboard container would definitely recommend

I was after the remastered version with the Dolby Atmos soundtrack on all six seasons. Although it doesn't explicitly state that this boxset has it, I had read on the Internet that it did, whereas previous sets only had seson five and six in Atmos, so I took a gamble. Fortunately it paid off. It arrived this morning (25 Aug) with a "Remastered in Dolby Atmos" sticker on the outer plastic film. I also checked each individual season case to make sure and everyone has Dolby Atmos. But even if you're not bothered about the soundtrack, £10 a season is a fantastic bargain for a Blu Ray.
