I use it to mix up the bird seed. Does good, but I think it should be mixed just before use. I guess that's my information that I didn't understand. Works well!

We've recently started buying spices in bulk and just refilling the jars we have. The only problem with this plan is that filling the old jars is a nightmare. What pushed me over the edge was filling the pepper mill. There was no way to fill it up without wasting a Roman centurion's monthly salary of peppercorns all over the ground.Enter, the spice funnel. It fits everything, even the pepper mill. The one thing the funnel is a little too big for is still great because the funnel is silicone. A slight "cram and fold" and it's in. A must for every kitchen.

I had been spending years vainly trying to pour spice into our spice jars, and always making a mess! I finally got tired of not being able to cleanly and easily pour my spices into my jars, and since I do a lot of cooking, it was very frustrating for me. I did a search on Amazon to look for wider mouth funnels (but not too wide) and found only two that were around 1" in diameter. The metal one had a lot worse reviews, so I decided to go with this silicone one. The biggest complaint I read on the reviews was that the inner surface was a little rough so the spice would stick to it. One person said they turned it inside out, so that was what I did as soon as I got them. It fit very well in my jars, and when I poured the spice in, it just slide right in without any mess or over spilling, and hardly anything stuck to the funnel. It was very easy and fast for me to fill my jar, and was very easy to clean the small amount of residue from the funnel. I am extremely happy with this product!

This is the first funnel I usually reach for. It works for spices & herbs without much sticking, and less sticks to this that my measuring spoons with less spilling. They also work for pouring smoothies from pitcher to our reused Naked Juice 32 oz bottles, and other bottles. It does a better job transferring liquids and dry granules, powders and spices than any of my smaller mouth funnels. Because it is bendable it also works for a couple beautiful oval shape bottles (press on tops) I can now use. It even will transfer cayenne pepper from the big bottle to a smaller one we use to keep critters away from the garbage and the gardens WITHOUT staining. I'm getting another pair for travel & camping, they will be very handy.

I got some before that had a wider opening. Wish it was bigger opening.

This funnel will fit an opening from 1" up to 2¾" (ID). I use mine for filling drinking bottles with strawberry puree and it's well suited for this task. The puree doesn't stick and the funnel cleans up easily. The inside diameter of the smallest portion of the funnel is about 15/16", so there is plenty of room for thick liquids to flow through this.Because it's silicone, it's collapsible, so you can shove it in a drawer and storage space isn't a problem. It's easy to clean and water washes off any residual product.I definitely recommend this if you're trying to fill vessels with material of a thicker consistency.

I reuse liquid coffee creamer containers as storage (rice, beans, noodles, cereal, etc.) and this is just the right size to help make it easier.
