I LOVE BFF LOVE STORIES
Girl meets boy. Girls secretly has crush on said boy. Girl and boy become best friend. Just what any girl wants to hear right. However I must truly say that I a bit of sucker for when it comes to stories that involves two people falling in love who just so happens to be two best friends that are the ones falling in love. But bear with me here what made me even truly love this story's of love affair is that said best friends fell in love, then they somehow lost that love and along the way each other. And with time and distance the years just kept moving along. And all the pain, angst and longing is what makes for a great story. Plus the characters make it a really believable story. The book follows best friends Sarah and Will who met back in the seventh grade when they were assigned to do an English project together. Once free from their academic obligations they continue to spend time together making them inseparable. During their time together Sarah developed a huge crush on Will, and that crush blossoms into LOVE. But Sarah never once tells Will how she feels because she thinks or feels that he doesn't have the same feelings for her or that he doesn't see her that way in the `girlfriend' plus it sucks that the love of her life just so happens to be dating someone else that isn't her. The lightening in the sky here is that she is completely wrong here he did have feelings for her just as strong as hers for him. They finally manage to become the couple that everyone assumed that they were but one incident destroyed them and their love affair left her shattered and them both with broken hearts and again time being the enemy 7 years of what ifs and what happened. Again miscommunication was a huge factor her. But if they had communicated what happened that night then we wouldn't have had a great story or the set up of how they managed to finally have their HEA.I love love love POV books because as we all know there is always two or maybe three sides to every story. But the interesting part that separates HIM from POV books is that we are talking about `Time', I loved how the story flows beautifully from the present to the past and how the author managed to move through this style of writing and execution flawlessly. And I truly mean it there was no confusion and it left you with a `WTH' and making you feel conflicted and caught up with the past and then BOOM your back in the present.I loved this book for one the characters were developed brilliantly we want friends like Sarah and Will, We so truly understand exactly how Sarah fell in love with her BF cause hello I fell in love myself with Will (yes Will too has joined my list of BBF's). Sarah is sorta tomboyish she wears jeans and t-shirts and is middle class and hello that's how I dress myself up in when I'm not in the office. She is so relatable and hell I want a friend like her cause you can't help but like her. While reading this book of course it's from Sarah's pov you are drawn to her, you can relate to her pain her emotions and her insecurities and let me tell once or twice we all have been there. Then there is the dashing and can I say it handsome, attractive, awesome very popular Will(feel free to input any adjective of your liking). The go to type of guy who every guy wants to be but also wants to be friends with and every girl wants to date. Is he cocky NOPE. He is a down to earth kind of guy. The type that you either want for your daughters or hell with it you want for yourself(again I fell head over heels for Will). Will is completely smitten, extremely adorable and completely protective of Sarah. The intensity in the way Will looks, his actions all were major factors of why Sarah once never told him how she felt for fear again of him not reciprocating it back or not having that awkwardness between them or having the chance of losing him over her feelings cause you never know if it would have worked out as a couple (she would just been having Will in her life any way).I submerged myself into this book I couldn't for the life of me to part ways with the book until I was completely done with the book. Throughout my time reading this amazing book I laughed (Will has his moments) I wanted to scream at Sarah at Will or at both of them at the same time. But the most wonderful part of this story is that the author didn't linger to long in reuniting them and let me tell you pure magic the moment when they managed to come clean of the one eventful day that managed to cause them pain and heartache and 7 lost years without each other, their love or yet their friendship. I had so many questions like what happened? Why didn't he go look for her? Is he married? Oh my gosh will they be able to reconnect and get back together?Things I do know the answer too did I like this book? NO I absolutely LOVED this book. Is this a book I can find myself reading again and again? Heckaya that's the beauty of this book you can seriously read it again and again and still have the same emotions and the same questions asked even though you already know the turn out of the book. Am I a new fan and admirer of Carey Heywood? Yes, yes I am. Are we eagerly anticipating Will's side of the story "HER"? Seriously, this one was way to easy to answer and that is yes, hell yeah, are you kidding me of course (again input your adjective of your liking here). Final question is this the sort of book you likely recommend? And my answer to that is HELL YEAH.Read it, enjoy it, fall in love with both Will and Sarah. And truly get yourself ready for book 2 in this beautiful story cause there is no HIM without HER

A sweet and emotional love story...
A solid 4 star read.Sarah is headed home after being away for 7 long years...7 years of trying to forget and move on...move on from the one guy she can never forget. The guy that she compares all other guys to...the guy who has made it impossible for her to find happiness with any other guy. All she has to do is get through her brothers wedding without running into "him". Too bad she can't even make it the plane ride home before she is confronted with the one man she has been trying to avoid...the man who as soon as she sees him she realizes still has a hold on her fragile heart...Will Price.Sarah barely had the strength to walk away the first time, now that Will is pulling out all the stops to get her back, Sarah has to work to keep her walls up and keep Will out.If I'm being honest with myself, I use all of the traveling for my job as a reason not to let anyone get too close. What's the point? I met the love of my life in middle school. Problem is he hadn't felt the same way. - SarahThis was a great read...just what I needed after coming off a really intense read. Sarah and Will's past is told through a series of flashbacks from Sarah's POV so you see them in both the present and how they got to the point they are at now. It was sweet and very emotional. Even when you didn't know what it was that drove them apart, it was hard to hate Will...he is such a great guy and so in love with Sarah. One of my favorite passages..."What game are you playing at Will?" " Playing?" He tugs my arm back so I'm facing him. " I promise you this is no game." "Alright, what do you want from me? Is that better?" I practically spit. "Everything." He's moved his hands up to hold my biceps. "I want everything from you." Everything, that one word still breaks my heart when I think back to that night. My head snaps back as though he's struck me. Don't cry, just don't cry. " I gave you everything once. Now I have nothing left for you."My thoughts:Character development: 4.5Level of Romance between characters: 4.5Passion/Heat level: 2.5 (this was the only part that was a disappointment for me. Lots of kissing and a little foreplay but the sex scenes are non existent...totally glossed over. Would have been nice to see the passion these too have for each other play out.)Angst/Heartbreak: 4 (You spend almost the whole book trying to figure out what tore them apart and wanting to see them work it out.)Cliffhanger?: 4 (No, there is the assumption of a HEA, but there is another book coming "Her" which is their story told from Will's POV.)Overall I enjoyed it and look forward to more for this author.

Just okay
This book was ok. I always like a story where a guy is obsessively in love with a girl, and we get plenty of that here. Will has been in love with Sarah since childhood, but they end up together in high school. Years later, they are apart, sarah wont talk about "him", and the book is a series of past flashbacks and present events to explain why. While I like the premise, ther are a few major flaws that kept me from loving it.1. First, the editing was off. Now I'm not talking about run on sentences or misused words, but to me it seems like no one bothered to read the book as a whole. The flashbacks are really redundant, like they were written individually, and things like character relationships are reexplained over and over again.2. The plot is very unrealistic. Sarah moves away from home for years, and her loving family doesn't care. She goes from being bad at school to owning her own successful financing company within a few years. There are a lot of other weird inconsistencies, almost like the plot was an afterthought.3. Finally, while I wouldn't call this a cliffhanger, the author definitely wrote it with the intention of writing a his-perspective companion novel "Her". The author just leaves out too many details so if you want the whole story, you have to read both. I don't like that. I paid for this book...I think I deserve more details.Anyway, while this isn't a favorite, it's a very fast read and I don't regret picking it up. Happy reading!

Dolce !
Her

A beautifully written story xx
Ok so an author that I totally adore recommended 'Him' in her group on Facebook, so I 1 clicked, as you do xx and I'm so pleased that I did xx I really loved this book x I went into it blind which I prefer to do x anyways here's what I thought xxThe chapters are written from Sarah's POV throughout and they flick from past to present. For me this just added that extra edge and tension build up x more authors should do this. Seriously!! xx anyway, by doing this it kind of created little mini cliffhangers every chapter which just made me want to turn the pages even more. I devoured this book in a day. Young love is my ultimate go to and this book executes this just the way I like it xx there was just enough innocents to keep it ultimately beautiful and just enough drama and angst to keep my heart just on the right side of beating out of my chest.Sarah and Will have been BFFs forever although Sarah has always wanted more but never felt worthy enough or even that Will would want that x they finally get together and their blossoming romance is beautifully written. As with these romances though, things go wrong and that was heartbreaking to read xSo the ending x well it's not a cliffhanger but....well....it just stops! I was like wha??? If I had been reading a real book I would've thought some pages were missing, so I'm pleased there is a 'Her'!!I felt the emotions, and reactions from the characters were believable of their ages each time (past and present) I met my hubs when I was young so it was totally relatable for me (minus the heartbreak part 😜) so yeah I was fully drawn into this book x which is why I have given it 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I can't wait to start 'Her' and any other work from this author xxx
