Works exactly as advertised
Pro: light comes on INSTANTLY at any loud, sharp sound, such as a smoke detector going off (that's what I need it to do for my hard-of-hearing father)Con: the bulb I got was a 3 watt, which is equivalent to a 40 watt incandescent. Dimmer than what I wanted, but, works fine. Not sure why the item description mentions "3w 5w 10w" -- you don't get a choice when you purchase the item.

has limited use, claims are misleading and wrong
This bulb does most of what I wanted, to be able to wake up in a dark room and make a shout or clap hands to turn on a low light so I can get up safely and leave the room. It turns off in about a minute. I would prefer to have control over turning it off. If it was designed to automatically stay on longer, say 30 minutes, I would come back to bed and would be bothered by the light for a while. The bulb shipped from China with no English instructions and some Chinese writing on the package. I checked the website for instructions and my web security software warned that this is a dangerous website. The label and information on Amazon is wrong and misleading. The 3W LED bulb is not equal to 600W, more like 25 watts. The label vaguely says 3W, 5W, 10W, but is really just 3W. The detailed specs on Amazon give 260 lumens, about what a 3W LED would produce. I tried a 3-way socket and the light intensity did not change. Several of the Amazon claims are wrong in my tests without instructions. Motion has no effect. Ambient light in the room has no effect. A loud sound turns it on for about one minute unless more loud sounds are heard, much louder than me moving around at night. Nothing turns it off except lack of loud sounds. The product is claimed to have a lampshade. That is obviously a mis-translation of light bulb. It is just a bulb like the photo. I have used the product 1 day. Sadly, there is a need for a product that could do all these things.
