New Mechanical Door Lock Digital Code Keyless Keypad Security Entry Door Combination Lock Stainless Steel 304 Full Size Pick Proof (Right Handle)

This is a piece of junk and not at all the quality security device described by the seller. This lock requires precise drilling of holes which are unique to this lock but it comes with no template and almost no installation instructions. Why don't these Chinese companies use someone who actually can speak English to write what does come with the product? I could not get this item to work properly. The strike kept getting stuck inside and not springing back out as it should. It worked fine without tightening the screws but with a little tightness it kept jamming. As a remodeling contractor I have installed hundreds of door handles of all kinds and I think this is the worst one I have dealt with. After the second time trying to remove it from the door it got stuck. The handles are so cheap they had ob-longed from tightening the set screw and made it impossible to remove from the spindle. I ended up cutting it off my new custom made door. Now I have holes that will show and won't be covered by another standard lock.I'm sending it back and ordering the proven name brand which has a battery but I know it will work.

No hole drilling template is included. If you are installing in undrilled door, plan on purchasing a Door Installation Kit. I picked up a Dewalt D180004 kit (about $30). You still will not have the 4 mounting holes drilled but the bolt hole will be correct. There is a measurement guide shown on the Amazon page for the door lock. Copy and print that or jot down the measurements. Be advised that you will be drilling 4 additional holes that probably will not line up with another lockset if you decide not to use this one. Also, I really wish these Chinese companies would hire someone that is familiar with the English language to write the instructions!

Installed product and wasnt able to get it to lock. Purchased right hand version and even though the lock and handle are the right version the 60-70m door insert seem to be for a left hand door. Very dissapointed as i now have holes in my door that ill have to cover and replace with a similar lock

With a little harder push than normal on the handle the door opens when it's locked.
