When I first looked at this product, there weren't many reviews, in fact there were only 5. And they were all 5 star. But it was all natural and the product I've used for years was not. I have a horse with heaves and the old fly spray made him cough worse and at the end of the day, he had flies all over him. So I put my skepticism aside and ordered. Holy Moly am I ever glad I did! Gunny does not cough or mind me spraying his face, NO FLIES on him, AND HE SMELLS SO GOOD!!! Keep in mind that when you spray it, you have to shake it often-I use a clear spray bottle. 5 stars aren't enough!!!

this stuff is an amazing fly repellent! It is safe to spray on a newly painted porch, outdoor furniture etc- flies don’t land on anything in the area - smells fragrant

Meh. Doesn't last but a couple of hours. (At least around this area) Makes an excellent base though, for the addition of different and extra oils. Then the mixture lasts a few hours. I've found over the years however, that natural products, no matter the brand or formulation, need to be applied more frequently than the toxic ones. Don't think that your horse is safe from the toxic insect repellents if they're only sprayed lightly on the hair instead of being wiped on and soaking the skin. Hair will wick product down to skin eventually but in lesser amounts, of course. Luckily our couple of horses live on the property so it's convenient to spray at least a couple of times a day. If you don't live with your horse, I can see using the, big guns (my term) fly sprays because your horse's comfort comes first.

Great product we use it on our dogs, and horses and also spray our clothes. Mosquitoes are bad here during irrigation season. This product keeps them off us.

as much as I spray the horse down I had to get something natural. I dont want my skin absorbing a bunch of pesticides and it cant be good for the horse. I love the smell of this product and it seems to work well. Of course with Natural products you may have to spray them down a little more often. A small price to pay when MY health is taken into consideration. I also use this on my dog and have been known to spray my clothes on those aweful buggy days.

I wouldn't use this if the flies are heavy. It won't cut it. But if they are light, it works OK. It doesn't last long. It sprays in a straight line, or mine does... So it applies weird and innaficiantly. It smells OK. My horse doesn't mind it. Will need something stronger for spring ad summer though.

I always use this for my sensitive horses that break out in hives with other products.

The only issue was that the box was sent without a lid. That doesn’t help with the storage.
