Magnificent motorcycle navigation
For anyone with a motorcycle, attempting to find a good old-fashioned compass to find your way around (especially in town), without the complexity, installation and distraction of a GPS system - is difficult. Motorcycles usually have all their instruments in one area, generating significant levels of emf, which interferes with most of the cheap 'n cheerful compasses one sees in automotive accessory outlets. So don't bother - buy a Formotion instead...!The Formotion compass appears immune to any such interference - and is adjustable, should you have a particularly powerful electro-magnetic field generator in your machine's instrument cluster - which is, of course, exactly where you'd wish to mount a compass.I bought this one first - in white - which is easier to actually read than its black brother. Then I bought the black one, just to match the other instrumentation on my hoglet. We all have to make sacrifices for aesthetics, after all!Installing one of these couldn't be simpler. Deviation is minimal, accuracy appears optimal and there are no GPS power supplies, batteries or wiring to worry about. I'd add a Kuryakyn heavy-chrome "P" bracket to attach the compass to a standard 1" handlebar. You can buy those from J&P Cycles, so no need to add to the already swollen amazonian coffers. And I only bought my compasses through amazon because many other online retailers cannot (or will not), export liquid-filled items like this via airmail - but that's another story...If you need to navigate, you need a Formotion - it's that simple!

Piece of junk
I purchased this in August of last year at the end of riding season (2013). I have never been able to make this thing point to any true direction. Adjust it to point North and then face south and it will point east or west or it will continue to point north. I pulled it out again at the begining of this riding season and thought "I'll go to their web site and deligently follow the adjustment instructions" it still can't be adjusted AT ALL. Totally non functional.

Good but not great
It says it comes pre-calibrated from the factory, so why then is north south and south north? Hmmm. It says there should have been a screwdriver and 3mm hex key provided, but they weren't in the package. Not all that impressed.

Three Stars
Can't get within a foot of the motorcycle before it begins to spin

Good Quality
A little smaller than I expected but seems like it might last for a while. You need to purchase an accessory to attach it though

Great product!
I bought this for my dad for Christmas so he could mount it on his snowmobile and he absolutely LOVES it! Makes it a point to tell me how great it is every time he goes out! Very accurate, durable, and the white face makes it easier to read. It looked a little flimsy when I got it in the mail but apparently, it's anything but. I highly recommend it!

useless compass
easy to mount to windshield or anywhere with the right size screw. my bike is a cruiser without anything fancy like radios and speakers etc, however, compass is in fixed directional (magnetically fixed) as soon as i bring it near my bike and no amount of adjustment coreects the problem. useless product

they are easy to read
Thought I would have trouble seeing the green compass points but, once it was mounted, they are easy to read. The company should inform the buyer that a bracket is needed to mount the compass on the handlebars; that most Harley's use a 7/8 inch bracket and that one needs to purchase it separately. The compass is steady and accurate. With the chrome housing and bracket it adds to the look of the bike.
