Great T-nuts
Our big box store is always out of these and when they do have them they are like $2.50 a PAIR! Outrageous! These were a great value by the 100 bulk pack and they arrived in 2 days. I will be buying more of them on Amazon. Well made and they work great. A+++

Good product overall, but be aware of its installation characteristics.
Good product, overall. Don't expect them to hammer in flush with the wood surface - not designed for that. They hold pretty well, but I epoxied min in for added push/pull strength, which necessitated removing migrated glue from the threads with a tap. Otherwise, worked well with 10-24 threaded rod. Also, unless you're installing them with a press, they won't necessarily hammer in with the bore perfectly perpendicular to the wood surface (tilted a little), owing to the different densities of the wood grain. And stay in as much as possible from the edge of the wood, or the nearest tooth may split out when the wood grain spins the nut as it's hammered in.

Some helpful information for CNC router users
I bought some of these in the 1/4 x 20 size to make a custom spoil board for my Shopbot desktop router. I really wanted some without the barbs on the back, but I figured at $10, I'd take a chance. They worked out exactly as I hoped they would. Since these were on the back of the spoil board to provide hold down locations from the top, I took a pair of pliers and easily broke the barbs off as the MDF I use would have never survived those barbs. I then drilled a 3/8 hole in a piece of mild steel and used it as an anvil to flatten the rim of the Tee Nut out. For those who are interested, I used a .800" x .075 counter bore on the back with a central hole through the spill board of .310" diameter. This required tapping them in with a mallet and I used a flat punch to make sure they were seated into the counterbore so they would not contact the machine bed. It's a little more work than buying the brad hole version, but they are insanely cheap. When this spoil board is used up, I intend to just use a 1/4 x 20 bolt to drive them out from the front and reuse them. A great product at a great price. BTW, none had tight or distorted threads, all were free running! My only complaint is I wish they made these with just a round rim for the same price so you didn't have to remove the barbs.
