Reads like a classic action film
I read this novel shortly after an adventurous trip to south Vietnam. It provided compelling context to the history of the war and offers fantastic action and near-historical, or potentiallly-historical, events with a real world feel that force one to consider what really occurred off the coast of Vietnam. It reads like a classic action film and offers characters who act with conscience and conviction. I would love to see this made into a film.

Gripping, exciting, emotional - puts you right in the action of somewhere you don't want to be!
This book completely put me in the action, it read like reportage rather than a novel; the writing style has a wonderful immediacy, so much so I could not put it down until I'd finished it!I also learned a lot about another aspect of the Vietnam war - the Navy's involvement...and what it really felt like to be there, the characters were so well drawn. I hope Mr Meece writes another novel soon.
