I have an old shotgun my dad got as a teen. It hasn’t been used in close to 50 years. The barrel and internal parts were rusty. I stripped the gun down and applied a coat on all metal parts. It worked great. Most of the rust came off after 20 minutes of applying the Rust Dissolver. A few of the worst areas took a second coat but came clean of rust after the second coat. It also removed decades of dirt and crime. I can’t believe how well it worked and how easy it was to use.

I have used this product for ages and it always works at getting rid of surface rust. I use it mostly on my older tools like saws and it does a great job. Good Stuff!

It did the job with no unexpected issues

Before grinding rust to remove it, I strongly recommend using this first to get off as much as possible with relative ease. This is easy to brush on versus the gel spray. You could just dump the spray gel onto a surface and then brush it. It's just that spraying the gel doesn't work great - but it is a much better value. There are others out there, but this is what I used and I used a lot of it on my van bed. I even called Rustoleum twice and researched how this works and it is just a chemical reaction.

The heat failed in my garage wood shop and the moisture caused rust on many metal surfaces. I bought this item because of the Rust-Oleum name. While I used it according to directions: it did absolutely nothing. I would throw it away if I could but I don't want to pollute the internment.

This "Naval Jelly" product is truly a jelly that can be brushed on according to the instructions (including surface prep). Left on for 12-24 hours it effectively breaks down the rust. For heavier or encrusted rust, additional applications and removal may be necessary. In my case, I have a medium-heavy layer of rust on large and long objects that required a couple of applications to remove. This is a valuable rust removal product that should be included among other types that you need to remove rust from parts and machinery.

I ordered this product for my husband, it came OPEN and it leaked all over the box. The smell was strong and sticky. Luckily my husband only needed a bit so he still used it. It worked fine like any other similar products, it was easy to use. I would honestly just got to the local hardware store to purchase to avoid receiving it opened.

Works great - just set and give it some time and will remove all rust
