DEBRISZB152 Skimmer Basket

After owning a home with a large in-ground pool for 14 years, I can say that, for me, emptying out the skimmer baskets is the most unpleasant chore associated with regular pool maintenance. I'd start by putting on an elbow length rubber glove because you never know what's going to be swirling around in those baskets, or what might try to run up your arm. Then I would have to get on my knees on the hard concrete to pull the baskets up and empty them into the garbage. Finally I'm back on my knees to reset the baskets...they never just sink down into the proper position on their own. After 14 years, I've grown to hate this chore so much that I've put it off for as much as a week.This stupid little piece of plastic has eliminated the worst parts of this chore. I no longer need the latex glove, I no longer need to get on my knees, emptying out the basket is so much easier, and I no longer procrastinate the task. Best pool gadget I've ever bought.

This skimmer basket is not a good product. When I received it, the latch released as it was being drawn out of the pool skimmer and dumped everything back into the skimmer. And then, just pasted the date when it could be returned, the mechanism to release the bottom stopped working altogether. So now, I just have a very expensive skimmer basket that is a pretty blue color and functions exactly like a much less expensive one.

Maybe this was my fault, but this basket is too small for my skimmer! I swear it said for inground pools, but that was not the case for me.

I love these!!! Our previous basket handles kept breaking off. I've had these a while now. The handles are sturdy and well made. I love the fact that I don't have to touch anything. These are by far one of the best things I have purchased for our pool.

Sometimes it opens up over night. I bought 2. One works great and the other ,, not so great and opens on its won. Also watch out before grabbing from pool,,, spiders sit on the handle waiting to bite you : 8

I had my eye on these for awhile, and I was excited when their price finally fell into my range. Unfortunately, they're too small for my skimmers. Measure your existing baskets, before you order. Hopefully the DEBRISZB9 will fit.

Bottom falls open EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to get these out and drops ALL of the debris into skimmer. I had three of them and they all did the same thing. Complete junk. You may as well remove the skimmer basket and allow all of the junk to go directly through your lines to your pool pump because that's where it's going to end up anyway.On top of that, they must know it's a POS because they have a return window, which just passed 3 days ago so now I cannot even return these $40 pieces of junk!
