1 X Japanese Citrus Peeler

This is an orange/citrus peeler that works for all types of citrus. It is effective and useful for peeling everything from a clementine to a grapefruit. Yes I regularly peel grapefruit like an orange. This cute fragile looking device is very sturdy and has several hooks in various places for different depths of skin. The only problem I had with it was that I tossed my first one away by accident because it blended in with the skins. I don't hold it against the manufacturer, though. 😁So yes I immediately bought another so I could continue to peel my citrus with impunity. I like it better than any other peeler. You don't need much strength to peel the fruit with it, nor does it hurt my hands when I use it.As for who I would trust a responseable child to use it. Those hooks are surprisingly sharp and a small child might hurt themselves.

1 X Japanese Citrus Peeler is a cute citrus fruit peeler to display in your kitchen. It works well and actually helps with peeling, but really it's unnecessary. You can just peel your citrus fruits by hand. I've used this maybe once. Though the bird is cute and it's great for showing off to others, for practical purposes, it's not really useful. I look at this much more than I actually use it. People always comment on how cute it is. But as an actual citrus fruit peeler, I don't see any point.I recommend this only for showing off.I don't recommend it for actually using.

At first, everyone in my family sneered at my purchase of this little orange bird. "Why can't you just use a knife?". Once they saw how easy and Fun it was to use the bird, I had to buy one for everyone. Now it seems to be impossible to peel an orange without having the bird around.This product makes short work of orange peelings, but be warned - this bird will Bite! The beak and wing tip is fairly sharp, so not for use by unsupervised little ones. Or careless adults ;-)

For an ordinary kitchen gadget, this has to be my favorite. From the googly eye to the sharp and steady grip, this is the greatest. I absolutely love it.

What can I say? I love this. I love oranges, and peeling them is a pain in the butt. Their are many options for orange peelers out there, and I did pick this one simply because it is adorable. It actually turns out to be way more! It has two different size 'cutters', one perfect for oranges, the other perfect for mandarins. The little tail actually helps you to pull your slices of peel off of the orange so you can grip them easily. No more orange peel oil squirting all over my hands, the counter, and every other place it ends up, and no more orange peel fingernails! (I'm not sure if anyone else knows what I'm talking about, but it is such a relief!) The wing does come off, so you'll have to try to keep the pieces together so you don't lose it, and the little cutters are actually pretty sharp, so I wouldn't recommend allowing children to use this, as it can slip if you're not being careful.. anyway. yes this is both adorable and useful. therefore, I love it!
