Easy to use, gives a pretty curl.
I like this product and it works well to curl my hair (I have fine hair). I’ve found it works best for me when used on slightly damp hair. I do wish the fabric were more heat proof though as I have found that the recommended time heat is not quite long enough to heat the curler enough to actually provide a long lasting curl. If you warm longer you will likely burn the tying ends of the fabric and could easily start a fire. I wouldn’t recommend doing so. But if your hair curls easily this probably wouldn’t be an issue for you.

This has changed my life - best way to get cool-looking waves
I have medium-fine, very straight hair that is about 6 inches below shoulder length. It doesn't hold a curl well and because it's fine and dyed, it damages easily with too much heat styling. My go-to for waves used to be hot rollers, because I'm not patient enough to use a curling iron correctly and also I feel like I can never get the temp right - on high heat they fry my hair, on low heat the curl disappears practically as soon as I'm done styling. But hot rollers have a tendency to give you a beauty pageant look that I don't really like, I'm more of a Giselle-esque beach waves girl. This tool is perfect for that and I get so many complements. The hold is very good (I like Bumble and Bumble thickening hairpsray before styling, then Living Proof or Elnett finishing spray at the end to set it). I find it holds loose curls all day, even on rainy days. And the heat is so low that it doesn't seem to damage my hair at all. It does take a few times of using it to get the hang of it - if you just bought it and don't like the results, I really recommend watching some YouTube tutorials and practicing - it's very easy once you're used to it. I can get my hair rolled in under 2 minutes. I do it right before my makeup and then 15 minutes or so later I pull it out and that seems to work very well. Two more tips - if you microwave it too long, it really will burn and be destroyed. But, I found the recommended 30 seconds was not enough. In my microwave it takes more like 55 seconds. I would say if it's not getting hot enough to set the curl, trying adding time very carefully in 5 second increments. Also, if your hair is very soft like mine and always slips out, it helps to use some hairpins or a large claw clip in the middle in the back to hold the hair tight against the wrap. If I really want extra hold and curl, like on a rainy day, after I put it in, I'll spray my whole head with a mist of hairspray, then hit it with the blowdryer for like a minute.

Works awesome for casual curls!
I have thin hair, but a lot of it. I had much more success with this when my hair was medium length, over long.I use this headband about once a week. I blow dry my hair until it’s mostly dry and put it on for several hours. I pin the back of my hair in Bobby pin curls, because I find that works best for me.This makes nice beachy waves and it’s great. I use product to help hold the curl.If you’re looking for long lasting, formal event curls, this isn’t really what the headband does. If you’re looking for beachy, casual curls, this is perfect.I need to leave my headband on for 3-4 hours minimum honestly.

So cal curls are so so
Curls don’t stay in. When you get it hot enough to curl it burns your foreheadalso hard to tie it tight enough to not slip off.
