I got two of these for protecting my ears after several cartilage piercings and upping the size of my love stretches. It can be difficult to sleep with new ear piercings as we all move around in our sleep and I have found out exactly how much I move about recently. Not being new to the piercing game, the long healing process is the worst at times. Just using them for a nap after I received them was a godsend as I was able to actually rest and not worry about being propped up in a specific position and not be able to be comfortable.These will need to be held to your head with a headband of some sort, as I see people making remarks regarding the size of these foam protectors. Unless you are repositioning a person with wedge pillows, these won't work properly if they don't stay over the year.Now the texture of these is something to get used to, as you have to have the "egg crate" side next to your head. This may not be tolerable for everyone. These can also be cut down (see my photos); they touched my shoulders when on my ears and this was the only way to help keep them on my head properly.Now they aren't cute, fashionable, and won't be seen on the runways of Milan or Hong Kong, but having non irritated piercings that get a chance to heal is the most important thing. Because you know what isn't fashionable? Irritated, oozy piercings on your ears that hurt.

Too hard, WAY Too thick, irritates my ear instead of protecting it from further skin breakdown :-(

No more sore ears in the morning for me. I had given up on regular pillows which often left me with headaches or pillow imprints on my face. This ear pillow works well for me since I usually sleep on my side, and it’s high enough so I get some neck support, giving a little room for my shoulders. For the times when I’m sleeping on my back, I prefer to be pillow-free (because pillows pushing my head forward often give me a headache), and this pillow is small enough to easily slide out of the way when I’m not on my side.

I have ordered this product several times before.It's always been satisfactory.This time the ear hole was really small.Not very comfortable.Can't return it, since I have already used it.That's the way I found out that the opening was too small to feel comfortable.

This is perfect for my industrial piercing! Like the other review said, it is thick enough to keep pressure off of the ear without being too thick. It really is a lifesaver!! I couldn't recommend it enough for piercings. It is pretty thick, but it has to be in order to keep the weight of your head off your ear. It takes some getting used to, but its made aftercare so much easier!

Bought on advice of my M.D. Obviously, she never tried to use one. It cranked my head up too high, causing neck discomfort and gave me a headache by pressing into my head. Probably the worst product I’ve ever bought.

The pillow worked great at first but it soon flattened.
