Q: What size is the waist belt?

It is adjustable, I am size 46 and it fits me well. There is room for a little more I'm fact. The only complaint I have about the pack is the MOLLE straps on the sides are not properly sized. I attached an IFAK to the side but only after struggling to get the backend loops to accept the straps. You can do it but it ain't easy. Other than that it is a fine pack that will carry a lot of weight

Q: Does this pack have a sternum strap? (adjustable across the chest)

No it doesn't, but it is easy to add one. I used ChicoBag Accessory~Sternum Strap~Daypack15 & 20 rePETe that i also purchased on amazon. It was quick and simple to put on. It works great.

Q: How comfortable are the shoulder straps? I am looking at this for a BOB but in my experience shoulder straps are a make or break. Many packs and rucks are awesome until you tote them for 4-5 hours when the straps just start digging in.

I personally have not worn this for more than 20mins at a time, so I can't comment on extended use. However it is VERY heavy with what I put in it. For the 20 or so minutes it is on my back I don't know I'm wearing it. Very comfortable on the shoulders. Hope this helps.

Q: Why is this item $20 more on Amazon than it is from the 3vgear.com website?

Because including the slowest shipping from 3vgear.com, the total comes to $79.40. It's a little over $3 more here on Amazon for me to get free 2-day shipping. I'm willing to pay that here. Especially when, if I pay for 2-day shipping from the other website, it brings my total to $90.61 (all prices before state taxes, if applicable).
