Ok, first, I did not buy it for the purpose that it was intended. I keep having to buy mattress covers that are waterproof because, yes, I sleep with dachshunds, and they are getting OLD. Also, a big dog will jump up there every once in a while. I thought I would try this, and then put the padded mattress cover on and then the sheet like I normally do. The first thing I noticed, it is a little loud. Of course, it is thick stiff plastic. It was also plenty long to fold under at the top and tape. For the purpose of moving or storing a mattress, I have no doubt that this product can do that. I am already thinking about it being something that I might be able to buy again and split to staple for my bird house next year....I think outside the box.

Protected a set of mattresses during a move. My daughter moved to a smaller apartment from Chicago to Denver and gave us the bed from her 2nd bedroom. I really didn't want to rent a U-Haul so I decided to car-top the mattresses home. I purchased these bags to protect the mattresses from road salt and dirt. Granted, my journey was about 20 miles and the bags held up well. I Don't know how they would hold up for a cross-country trek. They worked well for my purposes and for that, I am eternally grateful.

Great quality bag! I miss it because it's generously sized to fit thicker mattresses. They used to have so many sizes/options and now everything is out of stock. I hope they get more in because these are some of my favorite mattress bags on Amazon! You can get 2-3 uses out of each bag because the thicker plastic. If you need them like I do, you'll want to stock up!

This mattress bag saved the day when moving our large king size bed. The bag is thick and can handle substantial abuse; better to abuse the bag than your expensive mattress. Once you have the mattress in the bag, just use tape to close up the open end to ensure that your mattress doesn't get dirty or exposed. If you are moving, you need this mattress bag!

We purchased these to store two child-size mattresses in a storage garage and they worked exceptionally well. The bags are a very thick plastic and definitely kept out the dirt/dust when we went to empty the garage last week.

I got this and it worked great to vacuum out the air. It was very durable and fit perfectly.

This is very thick and not to much is getting through it... Great for moving .. so no dirt or liquids gets on ur mattress
