A Honest inside to one of the greats
This book is excellent. It showcases EVH’s rise to stardom. It highlights his life through the good times and bad. It goes into depth on his guitar tinkering, his struggles with addiction, and his personal life. The book also includes a handful of interviews with people who were close with Eddie like Micheal Anthony, and Steve Vai.

Remembering Eddie Van Halen
Book arrived quickly and in excellent condition given that it had travelled from overseas and was only packaged in a plastic postage bag. Have only leafed through the book, I have not read it yet. Looks like it will be a great read and filled with plenty of pictures.

The facts from the actual people involved.
By far the best book on EVH I've read so far. Great interviews with key people and of course with the man himself. Very candid and open discussions on a wide range of topics.Highly recommended for fans of one of the greats.

Essential to every EVH fan
This is an outstanding book that covers very well Ed's life, without getting into boring details. It goes beyond his revolution on guitar, showing the human being behind the scenes: someone who could be happy, angry, frustrated... just like any of us. The reading flows very smoothly, with a good balance of narrative and interviews. If you're looking to know more about his guitar abilities, VH history, Ed's gear and recording processes, this is your book! If you're looking to know more about the man himself, this also is your book!
