Predictable, frustrating short story
This is the same review I gave to the first book. I am not being lazy, it simply applies to both books: I’m giving this three stars simply because it was written without any noticeable spelling or grammar issues. But, otherwise this would have been a 2-Star rating at best. This book just isn’t worth the price of admission. It’s ridiculously short and apparently, each successive book is the same. Just as another reviewer mentioned, this is one book split into three and even considering the three books as one book, they aren’t worth the cost of $8.97. with regards to the story, I’m sorry to say that I found it weak and serves only to string romantic encounters together. The plot is predictable and full of clichés; I do understand that these things tend to be that way but this was overly so. I also grew to have less and less respect for the female lead. She doesn’t want to be treated like a little girl, but she acts like a little girl. It gets worse in the second book and yes there are mitigating circumstances, but they’re so cliché (yes, I know, again.). I started the third book and a few pages in I requested a refund. The grammar is better than most and I didn’t notice anything in particular like many of these books and I commend the author/editors on that, but much like our female lead, I just couldn’t stomach any more of the predictable melodrama that served to connect romantic scenes. When I choose to read romance fiction, I like those books to actually have real, engaging plots and to be longer than a short story especially at $2.99 each especially when they’re not stand-alone (and I’m not talking about series in general. Good series should be comprised of books that have legs enough to stand on their own). If this was offered on Kindle Unlimited I might have finished the series, but on principle I could not throw away any more money, even a small amount).

REVIEW FOR SECRET SURRENDERI received this as an ARC for an honest reviewNow that Kristen and Vincent have embarked on a “secret” relationship, things heat up pretty quickly. On an overnight stay at his place, brought on by Kristens panic at finding out her ex has tracked her down, she has a nightmare about her ex. Vincent finally gets her to open up about it and becomes enraged when he finds out it was an abusive relationship. He vows to protect her. She asks him to let her handle it, but he goes behind her back and gets her security. In the meantime, on one of their long weekends on his island, she meets his past in the guise of a beautiful model type surfer who throws herself at him. When he introduces only by name and not as his girlfriend, her trust in him wavers. She wants to know what it is they have and he can’t really answer her. When they return from their weekend, she decides to take matters in her own hands to find the truth of what they are. When she storms out of the restaurant after seeing a text from the model, she goes home .When she hears a knock on her door, sure it is Vincent, she opens the door only to be confronted by her ex. Will she be able to defend herself or not ???

thoughts on secret surrender
Ms. West picks this book up where forbidden surrender left off. We see my favourite boy Vincent being loving and caring which is so confusing for him. That charmer he is has fallen hard for Kristen and has no clue. Or if he does is denying it for his own sake. Such a cutey patooty. He does everything for Kristen except figure out how to slow down in business. Kristen is just as driven though she just kind of gets this I want you here more thing going on suddenly.Kristen kind of starts to get a little needy and emotional in this book. Understandable she is falling like Vincent but is so scared and confused that she takes everything to heart. She gets irrational about some things and jumps to conclusions a lot. Her past does come back to haunt her though. This brings up trust issues and insecurities about Vincent and his feelings.Their relationship is so beautiful and sensual especially the island. But all good things go bump in the night and Kristen's highly emotional state is not great for things either.A cliffhanger ending that will have you angry at Kristen and scared for her. A beautiful and emotionally charged book that will have you enthralled to the end and anxiously wanting to know more.

great read!
The web cam scene is worth the book alone but there’s so much more going on in this book. This is where we see suspicions and paranoia take over. The tension is so dense, I really started to feel uncomfortable. Their demanding jobs have kept them apart and they are still in the unknown territory of ‘are we dating or are we not?’As much as there were uncomfortable moments, there were endearing ones too. I love that Kristen in the first girlfriend Vincent has brought home to meet the family.Ghosts of the past reappear and make like a living hell for both Kristen and Vincent and it really puts their commitment to each other to the test. I had an inkling about a certain thing that crops up and my spidey scenes rang true.I am loving this series and I am adoring West’s work. She has the right amount of passion, drama, intensity and character personality that just makes her writing so smooth. She is fast becoming one of my top 10 authors.I bought this book with my one money

Secret Surrender
This is book two in this series, and, as usual, it's even better than the first one. Kristen and Vincent were really getting along better, seeming to "jell" as a couple. It was fun to watch Kristen as she dealt with dates that included flying off to exotic locations, all without any warning at all, plus the pressures of her new promotion at work - well, toward the end of this episode, the pressures on both of them were becoming more than they could handle. She had always worked long hours without question, but he wanted more of her time. Then his businesses needed more of his attention, which left him hopping planes, and their "relationship" devolved into short calls and unsatisfying text messages. The cliffhanger at the end was most likely a misunderstanding, but the shock when she answered her door in a huff was one I couldn't leave until tomorrow to see what happens next! I promise, it's a dilly!Jgtimm

totally amazing
Well where to begin with this, you have an amazingly strong willed lead female character in the form of Kristen who is very career orientated which for me is always a plus beats a female lead who has no control. When you first meet her she is preparing for the biggest meeting of her career and the first time she meets the sexy surfer millionaire that is Vincent. From the outset of the first book they have obvious chemistry and even though she try's to fight it as she doesn't want to not only loose the firm a massive contract but also jeopardise loosing the job she loves. As the books go on they get very heated but what I like that Pricilla West done was kept you in suspense most of the first book you just want more and you are nearly finished the first book before they even get to the naughty parts. The second book opens with Kristen's past haunting her dreams this is when it unravels about an abusive ex partner who is call Marty, when he turns up at her home it brings everything back.By the end of the last book you are in total shock with the events that unravel which I will leave for you to read yourself.I started this book at bedtime which turned out to be my worst idea because I could not put it down, it got to the last page of book 3 before I realised just how long I had been sat reading which to me is a sign of a great series as it has not happened for a while. You will laugh with the characters, wish for the flirtation to move on to hotter levels then fall in love with them by the end.Great writing if you ask me would highly recommend these books if you are looking for something to heat you up on these cold winter nights.Hope you enjoy

SecretSurrender. Priscilla West
Vincent flies Kristen to his private island, which he calls bird island. There's lots of sex which knowing him is to be expected. He takes her shopping and in the convenience store there this girl comes to him in a red bikini and it is clear that they have had a thing. She is a model called Ariel, she asks him when can she see him again, which makes Kristen very jealous. He introduces Ariel to her and he says she is an old friend. To me thIs time on the island they were there for eating, bird watching and sex anywhere. It was the same over and over again. Priscilla has written better books than this. With it being short stories, everything was repeated all the time. I like to read sexy books, would have been better as a standalone, you Don't need sex all the time. Sometimes it needs to surprise you, so you can think God I didn't expect that.I was asked to read this book to give a review.

Second in series just as good as the first.
Well what can I say. The second book is just as good as the first. However, I must say the first 2 books could have and should have been put together to make one. The second one begins immediately after the first one finishes and as I said in my other review the first book didn't feeling it was a n ending of a novel more the ending of a chapter. But at just under £2 a book I don't see the point in grumbling. As with the first book, this book seems very short, however, the story does make up for that.Again I bought the third book immediately after finishing the second. They are just so good you need to know what happens next.Lynn

great book, too short though
Great story line, though not very cost effective being in 3 small instalments. 200 and something pages for £1.91 on amazon compared to most of the books available is alot. Saying that, fantastic story line, great characters, ,much better than 'wrecked' which I only gave 1 star

Great read
Really good series and i have read a lot of these types of books. She could so much more with other characters in the book and have spin off books. Could of done with more to the ending even though it was good just wanted that bit more maybe a novella after would be good. But definitely worth a read :)
