Water Pitcher Filtration System FWP-1, Includes Reusable Filter Cartridge and Filter Pod Refill, Clear, 6-Cup Capacity

GREAT filter pitcher - slender and fits in the door, or on top shelf for easy access. Perfect for one person - any more and you'll be refilling it more than once a day, but even if you need to refill, it filters FAST, so the only waiting will be for the fridge to chill it for you! There's no way around the space inside needed for the water filtration (this applies to all filter pitchers), so if you want something smaller and more lightweight, it has to be a smaller amount of water filtered. This is a great product for MUCH LESS money (the replacement filters, too) than Brita and the difference in your water is very noticeable - very clean taste and smell. I am on a well system and this really cleaned-up my drinking water. Get one - you won't be disappointed!

Our tap water has a slightly funny taste to it. We fill bottles of water to take to work and I swear one time the water tasted of mushrooms! So with this and with all the stories in the news about water supplies sometimes not being great, we decided to get a filter jug. We looked at several brands and eventually went with Clear Genius because we wanted to cut down on the amount of plastic waste we produce.As a word of advice, when you first get this jug, wash all of the pieces in dish soap and rinse off with water before using. We made the mistake of not doing this and all our filtered water tasted of plastic! After a quick wash of the jug's components, this taste faded after about the first 500ml. From that point on, all of the water from this jug has tasted very clean and clear. There are no foul tastes, and it seems to taste just as good as the water you'd get out of commercially bottled packs.I have no scientific way to know what exactly is being filtered out in our tap water, but just based on the taste alone, I'd say there's a good deal of crap that is no longer in our water! With the amount of water we drink on a daily basis, this worked out to be a great deal for us. We'd highly recommend this jug to anyone looking for a more eco-friendly filter jug than those that use plastic cartridges.

I purchased this to replace the Pur pitcher I had for a couple years. The taste of the filtered water and the quality of the pitchers appear to be equal. The main selling point of this product is probably that it's better for the environment since less plastic is used for the replaceable filters. It's really nice that the filters cost a lot less too. Great long term investment for heavy water drinkers.The lid doesn't stay on, but it's easy enough for me to keep a thumb on it so it stays in place when I pour a glass. The upside to this is, it's super easy for a lazy person like me to remove the lid when it needs to be refilled, and it's refilled a lot because of its small capacity.It's 1 to 2 cups smaller than what I'd prefer for our 2 person household, but filters maybe twice as quickly as the Pur pitcher I'm used to. I don't know if this means that it filters less, but the water in my city is decent so I wasn't too worried about it.

I am very impressed with the Clear Genius Water Pitcher Filtration System! The pitcher is very high-quality and durable. The filtration system is very effective and removes any impurities from the water. The filter lasts for a long time and is easy to replace. The design is very sleek and modern, and the pitcher is easy to pour. I appreciate that this pitcher is eco-friendly and reduces plastic waste. The 5-cup size is perfect for my needs and fits easily in my refrigerator.

Love this pitcher to filter water! I distill my own daily drinking water and this pitcher (I purchased two of them) works great to clean up the negative taste left by distilling drinking water using a charcoal-plus filter.Unfortunately both plastic lids had the flip-up tips broken off this past year during normal use. I contacted Clear Genius company by email, asking where I could buy replacement lids. A very courteous staff member with customer service asked for my address and said "we'll ship you replacement lids"! This was free of charge.Excellent company! Went far beyond typical customer service from a manufacturer!PS I noticed the lids have been slightly redesigned since my original purchase. The flip-up lid tips snap onto the hinge now, rather than being welded. I'm positive that this helps prevent breakage because when I pushed on one of the new lids firmly (perhaps too firmly) the new lid flip-up tip popped off. I thought OMG I just broke the lid again! But NO, I saw the flip-up tip snaps back on and quickly did just that. LOL

Someone commented on my post, so I thought I should edit this to first say I gave this 5 stars because I think this is GREAT!!!The water tastes great and costs less than the filters/ pitcher I previously used. So I am for peoplebuying this. That being said, I feel the pitcher is too small at only 6 cups of water. We are a family of 3 and my kids drink the water (tastes so much better than what comes out of our faucets unfiltered). The problem is even transferring the water to another pitcher it goes too fast (and I want to encourage my kids to drink lots of this water). These pitchers have a six cup capacity, which goes almost as quickly as I can filter it. With my previous pitcher, I could fill a 1.5 gallon jug with two filterings. This takes to long. So Clear Genius, I do not plan to go back to my old filter company that starts with a B, however, please considere making at least 12 cup pitchers. That would be a start! Anyway, hope your business grows and you give B company some competition.

Great pitcher can really tell the difference from my other water filters. Easy to follow directions. I like that there is less waste. Would be nice if there was more of a cost savings for cartridge replacement, but who cares as long as it works well. I also like that this is a 6 cup pitcher and was hoping that just may be able to fill standing up in my bathroom sink. I can get partial fill in the sink. Yes the top is a little awkward to deal with at first. Lifting from back near handle seems to work best as whole top must be removed to fill. Great price would buy again. I'm even going to buy refills as the clear genius does taste a tad better. Will see if the refills do too.
