This stand is killer.
It's expensive. Is it worth almost $100 ... well that's up to the individual. Is it sturdy? Yes. It definitely is. The fact that the "boom" slides into the bottom makes it easier to store. Less like to get damaged. The clutch piece is awesome and makes it so much easier to set up than the other style on other stands. It'll get beaten at gigs so we'll see in a few months if I'll buy another. I've dealt with Hercules customer service before and they're really great. So that's a plus. I'd say try it out for yourself and see how awesome it is.

Best mic stand I've used
Works great and is very sturdy. The boom slides down inside the main pole which makes packing easier. I highly recommend.

Great mic stand.
This boom stand is different than most in that it does not have a separate boom that screws on the top. The boom is an integral feature that nests inside the main tube when it is not needed. Sort of like a Yamaha cymbal stand boom. Despite having no counterweight, the boom angle adjustment tightens and holds the arm securely. I regularly use this fully extended to put an x-y pair of condensers in a grand piano with no stability problems at all. The stand is light, and folds compactly, yet is extremely stable. The only thing to watch is that the boom will not swing laterally, if you are a drummer who likes to swing the mic out of the way when it isn't being used, will not work for this. All other uses, however are exemplary

AWESOME PURCHASE!
This is a very sturdy mic stand that has a great stable boom! It arrives pretty much put together, except for attaching the mic clip. Boom does not sag on you. I absolutely love it! Definitely worth the price!!

Great stand.
I love this stand. Itโs stout and multifunctional. Seems to be built to last. Itโs sturdy enough to hold my music stand attachment and a mic attachment for my sax mic, while still holding my vocal mic. So far so good.

Best Boom Mic Stand. Period.
I am a bit of a research freak when it comes to purchasing gear. I looked high and low for a boom stand from companies like Ultimate, K&M, and OnStage to name a few and this was the stand I ended up with. Here are my reasons why: 1. Quick-N-EZ adapter: Yes, the name is lame but the concept is amazing. Instead of spinning your shockmount around and around 50 times on the boom, just have a simple clutch that removes the end piece and easily screws into any clip or shockmount and attaches with the flick of a finger. Simple and genius. 2. The ability to adjust all parameters of the boom with one LARGE knob that is very easy to turn. 3. The boom hides into the stand for storage. 4. The stand is built like a tank, heavy, and not easy to tip over. If you want one steadfast boom stand that will last you for years... this is your stand.

Nice to accommodate that in one motion
First the positives: * Absolutely no saggage of the boom arm. It's rock solid and stays in place. * Quick squeeze adjust mechanism on the vertical part is very convenient. Especially if you switch from sitting to standing a lot, this enables you to quickly adjust the overall height of the mic position without messing with the boom arm angle (which then would require you to readjust the microphone angle). Nice to accommodate that in one motion. * I like having only one piece for the boom arm (as opposed to telescoping models), because it's easier to add a pop screen. The telescoping models have a very thin arm which doesn't work well with my pop screen. * Quick release mic clip is a cool bonus. Drawbacks: * The boom arm DOES NOT swivel. So you can't pull it towards yourself and then push it away when you don't need it. The only way to rotate is to either lift up the whole thing, or loosen the joint where the feet meet the vertical arm so it spins there. But at the EZ grip joint, there is no swivel. Maybe this was necessary for the grip design, I don't know. * In "Boom mode", you can't get very close to vertical. In order to go vertical, you need to pull the boom arm out of the elbow and then lower it INTO the vertical arm. So there are a whole bunch of degrees of motion missing: you can't get closer than 45 degrees to vertical in boom mode. All in all, though, I'm happy with it! The stability and simple adjustability is the most important part for me.

This stand is amazing! Build quality is great and it is very sturdy. The design is awesome. You can quickly adjust the height by squeezing the gadget on the main shaft with one hand and raising the inner shaft with the other. No need to do a bunch of unscrewing and screwing. Likewise, changing the length and angle of the boom is super fast and easy. Lastly, the boom telescopes into the main shaft so that this becomes an elegant straight microphone stand. You will not be disappointed. After purchasing a piano Hercules bench and this microphone stand, I will definitely look to Hercules for other products. Hercules products are more expensive but you are paying for better quality and better design. Worth every penny!

Tripie ideal para micro de caรฑon.

Strong and Stable
I bought this because my other booms were cheap and couldn't hold my mic up at certain angles. This one does everything I wanted without falling over. I'm mostly putting it through fairly basic use, but it works well. If you knock it while the arm is fully extended and weighed down it will fall over, but that's to be expected. In every other position I've tried it, it is stable. It's quick to adjust, has a decent range of heights, and the hideaway boom is helpful for transport. It does everything I wanted for youtube.

Sturdiest mic stand on the market
Canโt go wrong with Hercules brand of products. I have used numerous other mic stands and mic clips over the years and nothing compares to the Hercules brand. Sturdy, well made, and reliable especially when playing a gig.
