Simple, effective target stand
I do a lot of shooting in the desert. Unless there has been a recent rain, it is impossible to push rods into the ground to support your target. The unit could be used as purchased, but I added thirty inch long 2x4s to the bottom rails using the pre drilled holes in the rail to attach the wood. This provides enough stability so even gusty winds don't blow the target over. I loosely fit 2x4s into the uprights and when finished can simply pull them out to reduce storage space. Should have bought this a long time ago.

Perfect for an outdoor range.
This great for the range, especially at mine which doesn't have a dedicated pistol range. 2x4's tend to make it a little top heavy while 1x2's are subject to the wind knocking it over, but it has holes at the base and I used tent stakes to secure it and works like a charm. Assembly is a no brainer, has four bolts with washers and nuts which you can use a wrench or a phillips screwdriver to tighten. 19" wide is perfect for most targets, I use 8" splatter targets and am able to place them two wide and ever how many you want vertical (I did two wide and two high), depends how you cut your backer board. I just used Amazon boxes, have plenty of those lol. All in all it's a great portable target stand. I would recommend this to any avid shooter or hunter.

Pretty decent simple stand
Pretty decent simple stand. I'm using 8ft 1x2s with a couple cross sections. A small amount of wind will knock it over without help, so I also use a sandbag to weight it down at the range.Otherwise it's a simple product. Easy assembly and does it's job. Only 1 star off because it falls over kinda easy without the sandbag, but not a big deal.

Disappointing - very narrow and not adjustable for different target frames
I was hoping that this stand would be adjustable for width and didn't spend enough time studying the description and photos. It is NOT adjustable for width - you are stuck with a fixed width of about 19" which is quite narrow if you are using full sized target boards. This is probably fine for 25 yard airgun practice (or 22lr), but ideally suited for pistol targets for the most part (short range). Its better than nothing and at $25 or so the price is very good for a target stand. They could save money (and weight) by eliminating the pockets for using 2 x 4 lumber, as in my opinion that would be total overkill for such a short range target. The other thing that would be a huge improvement would be to make the width adjustable. I will probably cut the horizontal part of this stand and drill some holes in it so that I can use a supplemental piece of angle iron as an extension to the width. Then it will be much more usable as a rifle target at 50 or 100+ yards.

Great Target Stand
Great target frame stand. Made from sturdy steel with a heavy powder coat. Nice. It went together very easily (just bolts to hold the cross arms on, easy. I got two straight pine 2x4's and just cut them an even height. Then used a couple of simple brackets to make a top and bottom cross bar. I then used an old yard sale 24" sign and just screwed it to the frame. Voila! I would recommend bolts or screws in the bottom where the holes are as it will keep it more stable. You can also use the dimensional furring strips if you prefer. I like the 2x4 option as it will last longer. The furring strips tend to disintegrate if you hit them too many times. A good value and good product!

don't use in high winds
I like that the holders are designed for 2x4 boards. So you make your own target holder and mount it in the stands. There are two problems. The holders need to be deeper, and as-is this can't be used when winds top 20mph because it turns the entire target into a sail, snapping the boards and uprooting the target. You'll be ahead if you have access to a welder and can design and build your own stand for your particular situation.

Functional
A functional target stand. I suggest some thread lock or at least loc-washers when you assemble the feet to help ensure the feet don’t work they’re way loose during transport or use. Being able to hold 1x2 or 2x4 uprights gives some nice flexibility: I built target holders with both and both work as expected. The only improvement I would have liked is to have the 1x2 support attached inside the 2x4 and turned 90 degrees so the depth of the wood faces the shooter. The support are easier to make in my opinion and more stable. But I understand why they built it as they did too and others may construct thing differently. It’s a good product that serves its purpose at a reasonable price.

What a sturdy target stand
What a sturdy target stand. It would have cost me almost as much to build this from pressure treated lumber. I like being able to switch between 2x4 & 1x2 lumber. I’ll be purchasing another one next week.

Tweaks needed
Get some lock washers! Not included. Get lock washers or lose your bolts fairly quickly. Metal rusts immediately with outdoor exposure. If I bought again, I'd paint over original paint with a better quality paint.Otherwise does the job.
