Are these very sturdy and rip-resistant? i'm looking for envelopes won't get shredded by the post office. i want to avoid using tyvek. thanks!

These are sturdy, but they are not shred resistant and are definitely not on the same sturdiness as Tyvek. But I've shipped catalogs from U.S. to Canada via the Post Office, and one got returned back to me. The envelope still looked in good condition if that helps any.

Does anyone know if the envelopes come with the seal flaps up or down? I know this is being picky, but they will not fit in my storage cabinet if up.

They come in a box with the flaps down. You should be able to open the box up and take them out and add them to your cabinet! Hope that helps!

Can i send a 11*8.5 photo using this letter? I'm worried that the photo may bend if the envelope is not made of hard board.

This is a soft envelope. You could put a piece of cardboard on each size and then use this envelope.

These are like any other regular envelopes and would bend if mishandled. They have the kind of paper so you can't see important papers that are in the envelope.
