truly amazing
my previous intercom was a Sena 10S that was around 10 years old. it worked fine but, it was time to upgrade as it was no longer supported and the app no longer worked with it. this was an amazing upgrade. the speakers are so much louder. the call quality was amazing even at 80MPH as I kept up with traffic. setup was pretty painless for the pairing process and my biggest gripe was pulling the cheek pads from my helmet to get the wires routed. I haven't actually used it as an intercom yet so I really don't know about the range. battery life so far has been on point. all in all, it was worth the price.

Outstanding
Very nice. I have a Noland 3/4 open face helmet that has the ear cutouts for the ear speakers so install was very easy and I had to use the adhesive mount because of the helmet design. Cleaned the helmet with alcohol and it works quite well. I have not yet paired it to my 2018 GL1800 DCT Tour yet but should be an easy process. The Sena 20s EVO has a ton of functions that I don't think I will use but better to have them and not use them than need them and not have them. You can download the complete owner's manual off the internet which I did. It's a sleek design that looks great on the helmet.

There are worst choices for a motorcycle calm system
I’ve been using these for years. They are very good at what they do and what they were designed to do they fulfill however as in a lot of things, technology has surpassed their viability and value and SENA has a system now that has mesh that is outstanding. If all you’re gonna do is ride your bike and listen to music or answer the phone this one’s more than adequate

Great sound for comms and music
THE GOODThe rider-to-rider communications are great! Crystal clear sound and easy communications. The Bluetooth sync with my phone was also flawless with music that's loud enough. There's a definite lack of bass in the music; I may install the foam backing pads for the speakers to bring them closer to my ears for better volume and bass.THE BADThe volume when making a phone call is too low to hear unless you're stopped. I'm still experimenting with all the settings, but I think everything is already at the max for phone calls. I'm a little hard of hearing, so that makes it worse. Although the person on the other end of the phone call can hear me great!THE UGLY - at least for me...These units, like pretty much most of them on the market, mount on the left side of the helmet. For you normal people with TWO arms, that's fine. I only have an arm on my right side so it's really awkward to reach over to make the occasional adjustment. Not a flaw with the unit, but it would be nice to have something with a universal mount. I realize that I'm a very specialized case and I can't fault the company for making a unit work for that one-in-a-million rider. I just thought I'd bring it up. On the bright side, if I'm not wearing a glove the buttons and jog wheel are easy to find and use.

Great - When it works
it works really good when it’s not cutting out. It doesn’t mount very tight to the helmet and the connection isn’t good physically with the Sena transmitter/receiver touches the mount. I returned this one and got a different one.

Didn't get it to work at all
I was super disappointed with this (very expensive) set of communicators. The first thing I noticed was that the main unit attaches very loosely to the helmet clamp. It literally rattles loosely on the clamp, and when it does, the headphones loose connection and operate intermittently. Both of mine did this and I see other reviewers had this problem, as well. I had to hold the main unit tightly to the helmet clamp to get any sound. The next issue seemed to be a malfunctioning bluetooth transmitter. When I went into phone pairing mode, the 20S responded as expected and flashed the lights it was supposed to, but no phone in my household was able to detect a bluetooth signal to pair with. When I attempted to pair the intercom function, all I could get from either device was "Intercom Failed".I did try to troubleshoot them, and I followed the manufacturer's instructions to perform a hard reset, but it didn't help. Frankly, if I have to troubleshoot a brand new device, that's a big red flag to begin with.So they are going back to Sena and I will look for something that actually works out of the box.
