Practical Cardiovascular Medicine

This book is incredible. As a Cardiology Fellow, it is my favorite textbook to reference and learn actual practical cardiology information. This is a book that I can actually sit down at the end of the day, read and really enjoy. I have shared it with all of my co-fellows and they also feel it is one of their favorite books. Highly recommend for anyone trying to learn clinical Cardiology. You won’t regret getting this book, everyone I have shown it to loves it!

I fell in love with this book, it is the best medical book I ever read! The structure and the flow of the chapters are amazing. I am a cardiology fellow, and Dr Hanna’s Youtube videos led me to this book. I find it way superior to a classic textbook I tried before, although it is written by a single author (who clearly has an extraordinary understanding of all aspects of cardiology). This book is more practical, is detailed and very comprehensive but easy to follow. I feel I “grow” each time I read a section. For example, I never previously really understood EP studies until I read the EP chapter, an amazingly well outlined chapter! The arrhythmia chapters, MI, CAD, Afib, heart failure, congenital heart disease, and pericardial diseases are impressive. Clear concepts are presented, with data and clear practical approach. The book is loaded with diagnostic and treatment tips. I love the echo chapter and the standardized steps to TEE views, not to mention the cath and hemodynamics (which fit with the Youtube channel). And the ECG chapter is a huge bonus, better than dedicated ECG books... To complement all this, there are over 700 questions, including at the end of most chapters: they are tremendously helpful in consolidating the concepts and data. This is truly several books in one, well worth its price. The online updates are one more unexpected bonus. I highly recommend this book, not just for cardiology fellows, but for experienced cardiologists and any healthcare provider looking for a fresh, modern, and updated view of cardiology.

The author manages to convey even the most difficult concepts of cardiovascular medicine concisely and to the point, while at the same time being thorough and detailed. It's so well written and full of high yield practical information that it's almost addictive to read. The second edition contains the latest studies and is up to date. I think anyone who works with this book will be able to acquire a lot of knowledge very quickly.

El Libro desarrolla en excelente forma los tópicos mas importantes de la cardiología moderna. Está muy bien escrito, es conciso pero profundo en los items que aborda y está muy actualizado. En síntesis es altamente recomendable para todo aquel que desee estar al día en esta rama tan importantes de la medicina. Muy útil para el residente que busca su especialización, para el cardiólogo ya formado que desee contar con una revisión moderna y ágil de las principales patologías cardiovasculares y para todo médico que se interese y desee profundizar sus conocimientos en las enfermedades cardíacas. 10 puntos!!

Perhaps the best book in cardiology till date….highly recommended for cardiology fellow ….equally excellent for those who are preparing for cardiology boards….
