I bought this dongle which has multi adapter. Two USB, one HDMI, VGA, a Type C HUB. In less than 6 months both the USB ports have stopped functioning. The company AVOTCH doesn't respond to complaint and its out of return window from Amazon. It's so excruciating to see $89 go down the drain. I was using it with my Apple Macbook Pro 2017 model. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Before I bought this unit, I looked at the kind of adaptors that attached directly to the side of the mac, but I figured a cable-attached unit is a better for a laptop vs desktop. Plus it is compact for travel. I am very pleased. I like .

The products is no working well. Get connect and disconnect frequently.The connector does not fit properly and the connection fails. I will return the product

I have a Dell XPS 13, and initially had some flickering when streaming video, but I had to reinstall my laptop software, and it has been working without any issues, I really like it.

Great concept, unsuccessful execution. Unfortunately, Apple did not include but two USB-C ports on the newest MacBook Pro, leaving us to seek out items like this in the hopes that we can connect more than just the power adapter and one additional adapter.My company purchased 5 of these to test for a larger-scale rollout if all went well. Unfortunately, there are still issues with this device that we hope future iterations will address. The three most significant that we have experienced (with all 5 devices) are these:1. Connecting cable has issues where we have to move it around after we plug it it, or have it in a very specific angle for the device to work. The symptoms are similar to a poor solder job where the cable is connected to the circuit board and if we jiggle the cable, a connection is made and it works. Full disclosure, we have not attempted to break into it and touch up the solder on the circuit board, but that could be a cheap fix for that issue.2. After the device is first connected, there is significant video flicker. It acts like you are unplugging and re-plugging the HDMI connection to the monitor over and over again. This lasts for just a minute or two and after that 'warm-up' period, it seems to operate video OK. We have not tried 4K video, this is just standard 1920 x 1080 resolution on either LG or HP monitors; both have the same issue.3. Plugging a USB mouse into one of the USB ports causes erratic mouse behavior. When we use wired mice (we tried hp and logitech), the symptoms are that it randomly throws in 1, 2 or 3 extra mouse clicks when you click a mouse button. When we tried with a wireless mouse (just a logitech combination mouse/keyboard with USB receiver dongle), the results were lagging responsiveness, but the multiple mouse click issue was no longer there. The only way we were able to get good, consistent mouse performance was by bypassing the device and using an apple branded dongle, or to use a bluetooth mouse.We tried on a couple of occasions to provide test results and feedback to AVOTCH in the hopes that we could help them identify either an engineering or manufacturing issue that they could correct as we REALLY want this device to work flawlessly, but there were some issues with language barrier and we repeatedly received responses that said it should work fine and if not, send it back.
