Greatest gear company out there
Best ruck for hunting or hiking long distances even if you’re not hauling a long gun you can use the space to store tent gear or hardware.

Really great Protection and Size.
I really like this G2 Gunslinger 2.I’m not an overly-avid hiker/camper so I’d never intentionally be out hunting for more than 2-3 days. I wanted something to secure and protect my rifle. Years ago a fell on a rifle while traversing a hillside. Bent the scope, trigger guard and damaged the wood pretty bad. This pack nestles the rifle between my back and all my other necessities. Protected and secure. And while it’s stowed I have enough area to store my tent frame. It’s not a wide pack so it stays centered on my body. I’m 5’11” and 200 and it fits me perfect.

A year of waiting and reseaching
I bought this for camping & hiking the back country of the Sierra Nevada's.I have been wanting to buy this back pack for over a year. I have looked at them all from eberlestock and this one was my choice for a few reasons. Its made to hold what you got for 2 or 3 guns(pockets & Molle) but the actual room inside the bag isn't very big for my liking a little bit bigger then a standard back pack. Granted you can fit alot in a regular one, packing camp stuff in it is some what hard with cloths and food.It has a crap ton of belts, almost like a straight jacket. x)Everytime without failure when I put it on I forget to buckle something. It can be annoying but its what the bags designed for, to shake rattle and roll and keep everything together without stuff falling out on a more extreme level then usual. Most reading this already know snipers use these in the field and if a sniper swears by it you believe it.Like I mentioned between the pockets and Molle your gonna spend more money on this bag, It also has i think a 72 oz . hydration bag that you CAN buy but it seems like it would take up alot of room, but you need water some how I suppose.I havent got my shotgun and the scabbard that you can put on but when i do i'll make sure to update this review.

Great Bag
This is a really great bag. It is light for how big and durable it is. The straps are very comfortable. The lumbar support is a little aggressive, but I imagine many will carry much more than I do (or at least heavier things). It is a little clumsy at first to get the rifile in the scabbard with the shape of the back of the backpack (there is some contour to it, which feels very nice, but makes it narrow just after the opening of the scabbard, feels odd pushing the rifle in, but no actual problem). It works fine even with optics (fits a Stag Arms Super Varminter with 24 inch bull barrel without difficulty, and while AR based, this is a heavy rifle and big with optics. I only mention it because it is my longest and heaviest). Just took the bag on a pig hunt, and it worked great. I have to admit, it is also pretty sharp looking, which doesn't hurt. The dry earth color is a little darker than in the pictures. The shoulder straps, padding, lumbar support, and lumbar straps are great. The pack is also fairly easy to adjust for comfort (one can move the shoulder straps at their insertion site), and feels very comfortable on your back. The load feels much lighter on your back than when you are pulling up the back and getting it on (it feels deceptively light when fully loaded, which is great!).There are so many straps it can be a little confusing to set up, but once it is set up, it works very well, and they all tie down well so there is a low likelihood of snagging on things. Overall, I like it a lot, in some ways I wish it was a little smaller, but then it would lose some utility (others have had the opposite concern and would like it bigger, likely depends on how much you like/need to take with you). I think it makes a perfect balance with size and utility for a 3 day pack (might be just a little smaller than some of the SOC 3 day packs, which I think is actually nice, and I like the layout and shape much more than say the "bug out bag" from SOC [although the bug out bag from SOC is also a nice bag, especially for the price, albiet a fairly heavy bag]--also tried the High Speed Low Drag bag from Eberlestock, but the shape of the compartment was not as usable as the Gunslinger II so I returned it, otherwise would have been a nice, smaller and less expensive alternative). The flexibility built in and the added flexibility with the webbing is outstanding. I also like how the scabbard can fold and is concealed so that one can use it as a regular pack as well.Just some mild criticisms and the reason for the 4 star rating: One oddity is that the top cover/compartment (for magazines, or pens/toiletries) attaches to the bottom via long straps which works like a vertical compression strap. This would be nice, but it does compress/put pressure some of the components in the top portion of the pack including the soft sunglasses compartment, and makes the webbing at the underside of the pack difficult to use. I had a sleep system attached to the underside, and while this worked, it was a little cumbersome and felt less secure since the webbing on the underside of the pack is dependent on the two straps and buckles that work as compression for the the pack to stay in place. Also the butt cover feels a little flimsy (at least in comparison) and not as padded as the rest of the scabbard. The clean out zipper at the bottom of the scabbard is very nice. These criticisms are minor however, and may be trade off's for improving function in other areas. I hate for those to stand out (negative comments always tend to have more impact than positive), because it really is an amazing bag. It was great for my recent trip and I can't wait to get more use out of it.

Best pack for serious hunters!!
This is a really great pack. I needed a pack that I could methodically and purposefully pack for hunts.....elk, bear, deer.......and really get full use of. This is it.......I have spent prob over a thousand dollars on various packs that ended up being great packs for maybe a day trip, but this pack covers it all. I can carry all of my gear tailored to each hunt very comfortably and never have to worry about the pack failing. It is constructed very well to handle abuse and all weather and it kept all of my $3,000.00 + rifles I carried in it safe and covered. I even used the pack as a shooting rest for the shot on my bear. I am also sure I overloaded it as I strapped a bunch of extras to the outside and still comfortably carried everything for literally miles and miles. Do not hesitate....buy this pack as it will be the last one almost any hunter should ever need. i am very tough on gear and even tougher on reviews.....so this one means business.

LOVE IT!!!
First of course Amazon has the best price for this bag I did a lot of searching...I purchased this bag after getting a Gunslinger I and realizing I needed more room. At first glance I am already in love with this bag and I cannot wait to take it elk hunting...I would purchase again and I did also get a few accessories to go with the bag like the gun rest and I am really looking forward to hiking this year! It fits my 60 cm length rifle w scope since the top scabbard part is length adjustable which I was worried about when purchasing. I told my husband I want to carry this bag everywhere because I am in love right now and he told me to stop breathing so hard:) I know when we actually get out there he is going to try to talk me into why he should get to use my bag and I need to use the smaller Gunslinger which is still very awesome and worth every penny also so I can't even complain! The military uses these bags so they are more than good enough for me, I got the green camo designed bag which is very nice and is done in old school camo...
