Mason Bee Paper Inserts (50 Count)

supposed to be 5/16" for mason bees. these paper inserts are exactly 1/4"....wrong size. same problem with Milliard Mason bee tubes, which are also 1/4" and got sent back. I guess I will keep these and use them for leaf cutter bees which are fine with 1/4" tubes, but I am angry that these people cannot get the size right. ridiculous.

In the picture it shows the paper insert being longer than the cardboard tube...which is ideal for harvesting cocoons. Unfortunately these paper inserts are the EXACT same length and with the rear opening of the cardboard tube being mostly closed it will be VERY difficult to remove the paper insert when harvesting cocoons. I’m extremely disappointed. The price is very high for all of the trouble. I’ll be returning these. I suggest either keeping both ends open so the paper inserts can be pushed out or make the paper insert a little longer so it can be easily pulled out.

My only problem is the price. Bee keepers supplies can be purchased from a supplier for much less.

These tubes are the best. I put these in reusable sleeves I also ordered and my mason bees have clean nesting tubes every year. I love these and so do the bees. I need to order more for this season 2020. I have a square bee box I stack them in and use about 12 each time and they are all used by my bees.

They are ideal and easy to deploy; just put the paper straws in them and put them in the bee house. They are spendy, but unless you want to spend a lot of time creating your own, they are the best option I have discovered yet.

These inserts do not fit any of the four brands of nest tubes that I have. Circumference is slightly too large.

The bee liners are well made and sturdy. However they do not fit in the cardboard tube I bought (from another seller). They are too large to slide in.

Perfect for my Mason Bees nest tubes, just wish i'd bought two!
