WXD Rectangular Tenor Sax Hard Case (ABS-1)

Works great for my son’s circa 1970s King Lemaire tenor sax. The horn fits nicely and snugly. It’s heavier and longer than the case that came with the used sax, but it still fit in the cubbies in the HS band room.

Was a bit snug at first but after a few weeks the fit is perfect. Sturdy but not too heavy. My son has an old (1940’s) sax and we needed a replacement case that was strong enough to survive the bus on the jazz band trips. Hoping this one does as well as it looks.

This is a very nice case. It fits my trumpet securely, and there's room for valve oil and an extra mouthpiece. I really don't see what others were complaining about (instrument not fitting, corroded hinges, etc.). For the money, it's a very nice case.

Got this for my daughters clarinet that was handed down from my wife. Everything fits just fine, but really no extra storage like we thought. My daughter is rough on things and has been banging this thing around for months and it’s just now showing a little wear. Not bad at all for the money. And the strap is a wonderful extra.

Replaced my child’s inexpensive sax case that came with his horn. It was made of styrofoam and worthless. School transportation ruined it. Replaced it with this case. Huge upgrade, but on a budget. Now my son no longer plays, but it is stored in a good case.

Nice quality hard shell and interior, but exterior quality lacking. Most importantly, did not fit standard clarinet--one piece would not fit--guess on some clarinets this piece breaks into two smaller pieces or is shorter? Additionally, little room for extras, could not fit the cleaning items and extra reeds. WANTED to use it, but after showing to band teacher we agreed it simply wouldn't fit things as needed. Exterior quality negatives: extremely small hooks riveted on for a shoulder strap--can't imagine they will last, also some metal parts on the closing clasps were corroded (!)

Ross is not the easiest to please, but this did the trick. It is well made and is offered at a great price.

I bit small for older saxes such as Martin's with the sqaure pad protectors that extend a bit farther than the newer saxes. I'm hoping my older sax with quietly conform to this case without much trouble, instead of sending the case back. I think it will conform. If not I will re-write this product review so that others do not make the same mistake. There are other cases that provide more room. I think the Gator cases might be one.
