This is a very useful Tesla accessory since one does not know what EV charging units will have what type of cables. I have been using it for 2 months now at some Bosch EV charging station near my apartment and which has a cable which doesn't automatically connect with Tesla. This adaptor fits into the Bosch unit and then plugs into my Tesla Model Y for charging. Given the small size, its very easy to store and carry in the Tesla.

Just what was needed because of changing cars from a Nissan Leaf to an MG EV - the first-gen Leaf used a type 1, the new car a type 2. We thought this might involve a costly upgrade to our charging point (Podpoint are great and all that but not shy about charging a small fortune for their services) but with the help of this adaptor the necessary was achieved at a much lower price. Works well and fits the 'holster' perfectly - recommended.

Some say these adaptors are not worth the investment as they will never pay for themselves, but that misses the point of having more charging options when chargers are scarce as they are here in South Australia.This one works for me on some free destination chargers in our region, installed by councils.I’d suggest putting some tape or a sticker on it to remind yourself to unplug it, so you don’t leave it behind. Maybe put your phone number on a label.

I was worried I had to pay close to a grand for a type 2 charger but this adapter works perfect so I can charge my Porsche and my dad can charge his outlander all from one charging dock
