Battery does last depending on what material you are cutting. LVL takes a toll on it.
Good saw, its heavy but does a good job.

Love me a Skil
5 stars because....it's close to the original but not. The weight and balance is good. Performance, quality, and originality is as I expected. The fifth star is no comparison.... portability vs the old worm drive and for obvious reasons but that is why I have and use both of them! It's an excellent choice for portable and we'll worth it.

Bad i brought 2 mounts ago and i tray to contac the amazon or skill they don’t give any aswer or help. No good produce just stop by no reason.

Good brand and good design, but needs more powerful batteries
This battery-powered saw replaced a corded one of the same brand that I used for 25 years, but whose cord was worn out, and damaged. I have been very pleased with the SKIL quality, and decided to buy the battery-operated model. I also liked that, unlike most other battery-powered tools, this one takes two batteries, instead of one. I thought it would extend the length of time between recharges. But that was not so. My workers soon complained that the batteries wear out very quickly, leaving them powerless, even in the midst of small jobs. We use battery-powered tools a lot, and have 18 high-capacity batteries for DeWalt, Milwaukee, and Makita tools. The SKIL batteries are no match for these other brands. Even two SKIL batteries last less than one of the others. It's unfortunate because the two-battery tool is an interesting idea. But until SKIL fixes this, we'll set this saw aside, and replace instead the cord on the old SKIL to keep us going.

Great saw Great value
I build multi-million dollar homes for a living. Bought this saw trying to save a buck or two. And out of curiosity. I will say I'm more than pleased. Very competitive with the top manufacturers and about $100 less. Super impressed with the speed of charging and battery life. I recommend this saw.

Good quality great saw
Good quality with smooth operation. Has nice amount of weight to it though. Compared to other saws its a good price and it gives a nice cut. I love skil anyway and will continue to dive into their lineup

Skill battery saw
Using this for framing but found it to be very heavy especially because it only works with the 2 batteries installed
