Really works!
For some reason, the cuffs of my winter jackets are always dirty by the end of the season. I mean embarrassingly dirty. These products got my jackets, clean and kept them waterproof.

Works on North Face gore-tex
I was scared to buy it and use these two on my $200+ The North Face Gore-tex, BUT everything went well!! 1.It does NOT smell great, it’s not tour regular Persil type of wash, but my jacket got cleaned really well. Ao u will have to use 50% of the Wash bottle in Top Load machine, just to keep in mind. 2.After wash you will have to use 100% of the DWR wash-in solution….but technically it should last for While and u will be able to reactivate it…. After wash and good drying DWR is fully restored !

Works great
I've used this product a few times now. The first time I did it in my sink and it was fine but a little labor-intensive. This time around I used it in a front loading washer and it was extremely easy. My washer has all the settings that were mentioned in the directions, so people with older appliances might not be able to get the same results. At any rate, it was very satisfying to take the rain jackets out of the washer and see they were already repelling water. I had three rain jackets in the washer. I used a full cap of the product for each of the 2 stages and it worked fine even though the directions say only to use two jackets at a time.

Water proof work jacket
Used for my winter jacket. Not as good as new but worked well enough. Easy to apply

Family-sized! Smaller sizes run out too quickly.
Does the job AND there's enough for a family! Follow the instructions. It'll get much (and perhaps all) of the dirt out, however, IF your garment is HEAVILY soiled (especially grease/oil) after many years of no washing, don't expect your garment to look brand new when you're done. Use the waterproofing solution afterward, follow instructions carefully, and water WILL BEAD on the outer garment. I did try using the waterproofing on an old (10+ year rain jacket) and it didn't do much beading in a light rain. That might have been because the fabric was, well, perhaps a bit worn.

Excellent way to extend the life of waterproof hardshell clothing!
I strongly recommend this product to revive waterproof clothing!!! My waterproof hardshell jackets and pants were purchased 6 years ago for heavy use on long walks (1-2 hours) during the rainy season here in Seattle. Over the years, I have maintained waterproofness by using the Nikwax hardshell cleaning detergent a few times per year, which seemed to be enough to revive decent beading during rainy walks. By the end of the last rainy season, I was still able to walk about 1 hours in light rain and only about 15 minutes in consistent, moderate to heavy rain before I felt any moisture seep in. However, the water beading at the start of the current rainy season was almost non-existent. I did not want to chance walking around and getting soaked as the season progressed and heavier rains arrived. I asked Gemini about alternatives to spending hundreds on new waterproof clothing; a suggestion was the Nikwax Hardshell Cleaning and Waterproofing duo-pack. After reading many reviews, I bought the duo-pack as I had already run out of the cleaning detergent last season. I followed the easy instructions for washing/treating and drying my clothing exactly as described on the bottles. After washing, treating, and drying as described, I did not observe any weird smells or residues on my clothing, although my clothing did feel a little softer, a good thing! The first test of waterproofness was the next day as an Atmospheric River arrived. Before starting my walk, the forecast predicted only occasional light rain for a few hours, but it actually started raining moderately to heavily just a few minutes after I walked out the door, and it rained like that for my entire 1.5 hour walk. Importantly, in terms of the clothing: 1) the rain beaded amazingly on my jacket and pants, maybe even better than when new. 2) I stayed completely dry! 3) I am confident I could have walked for much longer and still stayed dry! The easy to use Nikwax cleaning and treatment has given me the confidence that I will stay dry through unexpected rain, and the major bonus was that I saved hundreds versus buying new clothing!

Shipping is a concern.
Thise products works well. Water just beads of my goretex pants and raincoats. The shipping was sub-par. Both bottles were leaking in the package and one bottle had a small cut in it from being smashed near the bottom. Neither lost much volume of product, but it doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult to ship a product without damaging it.
