When the vibrator motor quit working, I purposely looked for and bought this replacement.Normally powered by 1.5 amps 12V DC from the AC to DC power adapter, when making long trips with aging father-in-law, he was able to use the pad in the back seat while we drove for hours. We found a car cigarette lighter adapter that had a 10-ft cord and matching barrel plug at a local electronics hobby store. Amazon has these and I believe a search for "12V DC 5.5mm x 2.1mm Car Cigarette Lighter Power Supply Adapter Cable (10 Feet)" will take you to the right product. If the female part of the adapter plug is too small to fit properly into the control switch socket, a 5.5mm x 2.5mm plug may be required. I have ordered the 2.1mm version and will update this review once I've verified it is the proper size.Combination of 2-stage heating and 2-speed vibrator provides excellent warmth and massage therapy. This product while smaller and costing less than most combination heating/vibrating pads, works great for use on lower back and one side of upper back and shoulders.Improvements include a smaller, lightweight AC to 12 DC power adapter. However, the wire between the AC adapter and plug that connects to the control switch is a lighter duty wire that will not do well if it becomes pinched in a recliner mechanism for example.***One recommendation to Sunbeam for improvement (are you listening Sunbeam product mangers/engineers?) is that the 20-in cord between the pad and control switch needs to be a few inches longer so that the switches can be more easily reached. This is especially true when sitting in an arm chair recliner and the pad is placed low in the back.

I replaced my very heavy, 9 (!) settings vibrating pad with this nice little unit. Works great, easy to use, (2 settings for heat and 2 settings for vibration).

Use it for restless legs, stick it under my calves every evening before bed. In principle it's very effective for what it does. After only a month, it has a habit of starting/stopping on its own, and today it stays on at all times - have to unplug it to turn it off.

Little pricey but good massage pad. Works well on the knots around my shoulder blade.

There's a slightly off-the-wall reason that I bought this heating pad. An older cat rules our home—she's 19—and she is the queen. Unfortunately, she got a cold with a lot of snot and congestion. While she likes to roast herself in front of heating registers or anything warm, or downright hot, I decided to let her lean against a heating pad. Not just any heating pad—no, no, no—a vibrating heating pad!Vibrations can be good for breaking up congestion, phlegm and catarrh. And it also sounds a little like a purring cat. It helped her feel better on the days we had to go to work and no one else was here to look after her (with two dogs and two other cats, she was hardly alone, even if she probably wished to be). With the help of some medicine, good loving, Reiki and the heating and vibrating pad, the Queen has recuperated! All hail the Queen!Also, I've used this—FYI, I'm human—to help with my own sinus congestion and sore muscles. There are two settings for each, the heat and the vibration: low and high. Each shuts off after an hour has passed. This is for our own safety (and for that of felines). I wish it stayed on a little longer, but it's not that much trouble to turn it off and turn it back on again (you have to turn the switch off to reset the timer, then turn it back on again). I can do it, because, again, I'm human. The feline queen, however, wouldn't do that. It's not because she can't do it, which is probably what you're thinking, but because she is a cat, and a queen cat, and therefore why would she do it when she can just wait for one of her slaves to do it for her?It's a nice product. As far as pain relief and all that, you might not get much out of the vibration, but it's a soothing combination of heat and vibration—and sometimes all we need is a decent soothing.

I've used this Sunbeam Heating and Massage Pad for my lower back pain. Simply place it against the pillow on the couch and lean back into it. The heat and vibrate works great to ease my sore muscles. The vibration is so much more comfortable than the massage pads that I've used in the past that have the interior rollers. I start both the heat and vibration on high and then move to low after about 10 minutes. The cloth cover is soft, looks nice, and is washable. I originally bought this pad for my dog Chief, who has mega esophagus, and must eat sitting upright in a Bailey Chair. I set him in the chair and put the pad between his back and the chair. I thought the vibration would help move his food into his stomach and lessen his regurgitation. At night I put it in his bed and set the heat to high. We both enjoy the pad.

This is a great gift for anyone it's great for pain relief and very comfortable has 3 temperatures so it wont get too hot

I finally found this product. My first one lasted over 20 years, however, I don't know if mine will last that long. But for now, it keeps on ticking and brings relief and that's all that matters.

Bought in March already won't work vibration squeaky and loud, starts and stops burnt myself with heat on. Contacted seller said get a refund good day. Absolutely rude and poor business practice. I can't get a refund through Anazon. Rip off don't purchase!
