Highly recommended for empaths and HSPs
By far one of the best books I have purchased in my life. It’s a guide and has helped me tremendously. Highly recommend it if you are an empath or Highly Sensitive person.

Best book for sensitive empaths who want practical, helpful tips!!!
There are a lot of books out there for empaths and highly sensitive people. I think a lot of them are for people who are just discovering that they are sensitive--they help you to understand what being highly sensitive or empathic is all about. (like Aron's "The Highly Sensitive Person". Orloff's book seems to me to be geared towards empaths who know who they are already but are looking for some extra ideas to help them to THRIVE, not just survive. There are tons of great tips in here! Some are reminders for me and other things I hadn't thought of before. This woman knows what she's talking about and I love that she really emphasizes that it is a gift!! I highly recommend it!!

Dr. Orloff is a Must-Read for Empaths, Love This Date Book
Judith Orloff is a respected leader in the field of psychiatry and, really, the author you want to read if you're an Empath or Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I've read nearly all of Dr. Orloff's books, so I pre-ordered this book and its companion journal. I really got a lot out of "The Empath's Survival Guide" and was looking forward to this new book. Thriving as an Empath is formatted as a Date Book. It's not exactly meant to be read straight on through like her other books. Instead, this gives a dose of inspiration / help every day of the year. You can use it in a few suggested ways. First, you can open it to the date you're starting the book, and read one page daily for a whole year. Second, you can use it as a bit of an oracle - if you have a question or problem that you need some insight or perspective on, think about the question, then open the book to any random page, read that page, and reflect on how that might provide commentary on your situation. This is really a great book if you're an Empath. If you're not sure if you are one, go to her website and there's a self-test you can take. Empaths have some unique and special traits, and also some interesting challenges. This book can help with both - celebrating what is awesome about being an Empath, while helping to work with the challenges to create a good life for yourself.I met Dr. Orloff in person during her book tour for this book, and she is an engaging author and person. She is an intuitive empath herself and really brings topics to life, both on the page and in person. I was lucky enough to have her sign my copy of this book. This book is one that I am very glad to have. If you're looking for a book that you can read straight through, and get a lot of information about Empaths and what you can do to survive and take control of your powers, I recommend her previous book, "The Empath's Survival Guide." This book, "Thriving as an Empath" is no less great, but is in a date book format, which may not be what you are looking for. I have both, and I'm very happy with them.
