The Creative Magician's Handbook: A Guide to Tricks, Illusions, and Performance

This is a book about stage magic and how to do it. Nonetheless I found a lot of gems in this book about to how present, how to think of and plan for different audiences, and how to run a business. I also found this book interesting because of how the author addressed issues of privilege and serving people who have less privilege in the world. You'll find a lot of information about magic tricks in this book, but like any skilled magician, the author of this book shows there is much more going on than just how to do a trick. I'd recommend it as a way to learn more about stage magic, but also to learn some good tips about presenting and good business practices.

This book gives a wonderfully complete look at becoming a magician. Just wish i had this when I started performing years ago. That period of my life would have gotten a jump start from this book.To get started on the right foot, this book is a gem.
