I love the Owly books!
Such sweet wholesome stories where many kids comics are centered around villains and conflict. I bought this and “Friends All A Flutter” for a road trip when my son was 3. Andy Runton tells beautiful stories without the need for words that allows young children to enjoy the story all their own. As an adult, I really enjoy this method as a different way to tell a story a much prefer this to the newly colored Owly run that has added text. My son still loves these books and all the Owly books a year later. Highly recommend!

Great book that works for any language ( besides reading the title )
It's a book that is perfect for multi-lingual households. The pictures speak for themselves. The reader provides the narrative. It helps when parents or grand-parents want to read a story in the language of their choice.

Great Book
Owly's other full-color story book, Friends All A Flutter was a big hit with our kids, so when this second book came out, we were quick to pre-order. We were very happy with the condition of the book. Owly is one of our favorites. Without having any words, the story can be made up by the reader and isn't limited to kids that are of a reading age.

Imagination readers
I love the Owly series. This new one is adorable. My daughter loves he fact that she can use her imagination to tell her own story about the characters. The books are wordless and have wonderful illustrations. Perfect for young imaginations.

Great children's book
I loved sharing this book (and the other in the series, Friends All a Flutter) with my niece. The art is beautiful and vivid. The fact that it has no words makes it fun to figure out the story together. Apparently, I tell the story slightly differently from my brother. I think this keeps her interested.

Impressive
Nothing beats this book for young children. Full-color pages make all the story so lively and the illustrations are one of the best out there. There are no words in the story, but young readers will get all the fun through cute illustrations.

Three Stars
Very Cute book but I expected there to be a story instead of just pictures.

Owly books are always great picks for children becoming more independent
Owly books are always great picks for children becoming more independent, but aren't yet ready for reading actual words. Runton does a wonderful job of conveying a story in just the pictures, with a little help from some "picture speech," where the animals convey their problems in simple pictograms. It was particularly interesting to me to see this book as it's the first Owly book I've seen which is done in color. His comic collections are all black-and-white, and, while still good, the addition of color really leaves and impression.I also loved the bats thing. I know books about how bats are nice are becoming more common, but it still makes me quite happy to find a positive depiction.Of course, this is all my personal opinion. I'm really unsure how well a child will like this book, so unless they're really into owls, bats, or, I suppose, worms, best to give it a try from the library BEFORE an outright purchase.

Great for Early Readers
My 4-year-old daughter LOVES Owly and it's a story she can "read" all on her own. The illustrations are great and the stories are really adorable!

Owly fans will like it
My children like Owly and enjoy the black and white books. It's nice to see Owly in colour, but there are so few pictures to the page that the book takes only a few minutes to get through. If you've not yet read an Owly, don't start with this one.
