Well I have tried approximately twelve cases looking for that perfect case. One that came close was the Belkin. but fifty plus dollars and the blue one does not have the on/off capability makes it useless. This case is light, thin, and holds the device snugly and securely. It will tilt nicely as well. There is an odor but that should dissipate In a few days. It is NOT leather so don't think it is. However, whatever the case is made from, It is very nice. The blue is beautiful. There is a sparkle to it. Another thing I like is I have access to the entire pad. There are cases that have a border which can block the top and bottom of the pad, preventing you from scrolling from the top or bottom of the device. This allows you access to the entire pad. Something to think about. The other case I purchased was the crown case in blue as well. This is also a favorite of mine. But the way the pad fits inside, the entire pad is not exposed there is a border. However it is very nice, comes in several colors (my favorite is blue), and shuts the device on and off as does this one.In summary - Pros....nice price, comes in colors, on/off capability, decent price, entire pad screen is exposed, thin, light weight, props up nice and secureCons....does have a smell that I hope will be gone in a few days, not real leather and seems to have cardboard between the top and bottom layers.Hope this helps!

Disappointed based on review, bought this as a gift for my son. He liked the slim fit that all holes line up, however, this is not leather. It's vinyl . Cannot flip case to type on it only stands up to watch movies etc. if you are looking for leather this is not the case cover nor is it useful for typing.

This is the case I've been HUNTING for!! Slim, protective, auto on/off, and stands up or folds back. I take my ipad everywhere. I bought a case with a thin plastic back which cracked immediately. The cover originally purchased from Apple is useless. The back of the ipad is slippery and easily dropped. I can't believe they made this case so slim...and how PERFECTLY it fits the ipad. I am now ordering one for my husband.I recommend this to anyone with an ipad. They are too expensive not to protect......and for this price!

Our first concern was that the ridges would not be deep enough to hold the iPad in place. The material on both ends provided enough friction to hold it in place better than models we have used with deep ridges. The iPad snaps into a holder mold that fits like a glove. The only knock on this would be the subpar leather exterior... but geesh for the money, who cares, it's still decent.Worth every star in this review.

I don't know what this material is but it is definitely not leather. It is shiny ... Looks awful ... smells like gasoline and is making me cough and choke.This is getting returned ASAP.I gave it 2 stars only because the hard plastic case holds the iPad snugly.

The case looks really nice and I like the texture but the magnets started pulling out of the case after 3 weeks and the cover doesn't stay on easily so the lid opens slightly causing the ipad to turn on and waste its battery.

It is a very nice case, fits perfectly and is pretty sturdy. Got the black and looks almost like a notepad. Will definitely purchase again.
